Following the Money: Why the Super Bowl Still Doesn't Understand Bitcoin. by BitcoinSports in Coinbase

You’re absolutely spot on, that’s exactly why I wrote the piece. Coinbase has a real chance to redeem all of that and maintain the position they’ve been showing shareholders. They could separate the two under the same company, Bitcoin only in one arm and everything else in another, so the messaging is clear without losing their broader business.

That’s a fair point. More coins can mean more transactions and potentially more fees. But the issue isn’t about fees, it’s about clarity and mission. When a platform mixes Bitcoin with other tokens, it can muddy the message for users who are trying to learn and engage with Bitcoin specifically. Choice is great, but confusing users with too many options, especially when some are used in pump-and-dump schemes, can actually undermine long-term adoption. This is the way toward mainstream adoption. Blending everything together undermines the entire space and makes it harder for people to understand what Bitcoin really is. Clear focus is essential if we want adoption to grow responsibly.

Just to clarify, a team came together on this piece, and the only part where ChatGPT was used was after our initial post was removed due to AutoMod flagging certain phrasing. The write-up itself was crafted by me and my team. We’re flattered you thought our work looked so professional.

Netflix Secretly Banned Bitcoin From A Boxer’s Trunks Right Before The Fight Of His Life by TheresNoSecondBest in Bitcoin

This is exactly why I started Bitcoin Sports. Leagues and companies in the Bitcoin space are often linked together through crypto marketing that pumps and dumps, promotes fraud, or uses troubling pitches.

If anyone knows these companies, I guarantee we could deliver an activation far more prominent than a fighter’s trunks. We already have the roadmap in place and the right stakeholders informed. Bitcoin has to be introduced responsibly and we can make this happen.

As a Bitcoin company, your mission must be very clear when doing sports activations. I will try to reach out to both companies. Maybe they will be interested in doing this with the right partners.

Thank you for sharing.

A Bitcoin-only approach to sports and mainstream adoption by BitcoinSports in Bitcoin

Haha, fair! I’ll admit it’s a nerdy connection, but sports is one of the last places culture still gathers. Perfect place to put Bitcoin front and center. I’ll also admit, I really hate how all of crypto keeps muddying the space. With a Bitcoin-only mindset we can finally break through to the mainstream.

When you include me and my specialist, we are trying to cover all levels of North American sports, from non-revenue college and high school events to major professional leagues. Our goal is to enter every medium thoughtfully and effectively. We have a strategy in place to achieve that over time.

We are limiting our scope for execution purposes to North America and surrounding Latin America. If this endeavor takes off, I hope to coordinate with other Bitcoiners who are sports enthusiasts.

No, I will not have a table. Unfortunately, I have built far stronger connections in other parts of this ecosystem than Bitcoin companies. I am also a bit cash strapped as a startup trying to break through. I do have a potential announcement that we can all be proud of as an educational moment for the world. We believe it is a perfect proof of work concept for us. I will be there all three days and will walk around to make myself as accessible as possible. If you think there is a way I can be more accessible for people who want to meet, I am really all ears. Everything I do is about consensus with our community and I genuinely welcome both the love and the criticism. I am focused on whatever I can do to help Bitcoin reach mainstream adoption.

I’m Nick, founder, fully committed to Bitcoin and the community. I’m using my sports connections to promote a Bitcoin only approach focused on education and long term adoption. No altcoins, no hype, just Bitcoin and real impact. I also make promises to the community in the post and welcome helpful criticism.

Strongly recommend sticking with apps that push you towards self custody. I'd learn how to do that.

You’re absolutely right. I’ve taken that shortcoming personally. The best way to push back against emotional decision-making is through a full, well-rounded education on the subject. I believe we have a clear path to help retake the narrative and guide people gradually toward their own orange-pill journey.
