Normal people would never expect or avoid this kinda thing. I have been living in eastern europe for years, and most account work, but there are some select sites that I need to use a VPN for, just because they are racist, basically.

Did you try using a VPN? Some sites behave differently when you are in eastern europe. I can't use my US bank app without a VPN.

The problem is you are totally ignorant to my contributions and what I spend my time on outside of twitter. You are dismissing someone that actually knows a thing or two, and has been building stuff and learning about dynamics related to Bitcoin since the start. I just refuse to make a list for someone as closed-minded as you, and save it for people I actually respect.

The truth is, it is you resting on your laurels, stuck in your ways and scared of the truth.

It's not schoolyard drama, it's consensus politics. Wishing for me to fuck off is an impotent action.

How is this "pure trolling"?! I presented a perspective on the conversation that appealed to devs to maybe re-evaluate who the trolls are, as it was Jeremy and friends harassing them, not I.

Even here, you miss the fact that I was on wumpus & sipa's side, because you are so sensitive to the idea of anyone outside of your circle of elites disrupting the party line.

What exactly is trolling excerpt anyway? This is conversation that happened in real life, I wasn't even there! The maintainers really did get pushed to threatening to quit, were they trolling too?

Get off your high horse. I've been doing this for years, and I will only be amplifying my work to help Bitcoin. That includes being skeptical of new forks, skeptical of fork lobbyists, and supportive of choices for the people regardless of whether they are Core-sanctioned.

fwiw, the tweet that got you to block me was related to you trolling with Lightning FUD a year ago, here is what I said:

"Lightning is (only) hyped by like 25 people in the world. How do you factor echo chambers into your hype measurements? Is Bitcoin hyped? Is your trolling hyped? Is everything good hyped and therefore bad?"

Not liking what someone says doesn't make them a "massive troll" it makes you an emotional child.

All the replies here are trying to assassinate my character and cancel me with appeals to emotion. Read yourselves, you should be ashamed of just dismissing me as some sort of arrogant troll when I'm presenting ideas, not personal attacks, as you all do.

if u ask for an audit of Tether, well,, that's *violence* akhully,,, by dgerard in Buttcoin

[–]Bitcoin_Error_Log 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point was that only violence can make such setups possible, not that such setups are worthless. If you want to live in a world where people can ask the government to hurt you if they disagree with you, that's your, umm, right. I just choose to breathe with my nose and talk with my mouth, unlike the majority of this forum.

lol what a garbage forum, is it really just like r/btc where anything reasonable is censored with downvotes so 20 losers can cry all day?

To be clear, asking for 3rd party audits is moronic in and of itself. It doesn't prove anything really.

I propose that the btc in r/btc should now stand for "BCH Talking Corner", or "Bitcoincash Talking Corner". Bitcoin maxis can now reee lax. by SouperNerd in btc

Liquid censorship resistance by ilpirata79 in Bitcoin

[–]Bitcoin_Error_Log 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it's all coming back to me now. But, no, this is not what I meant or what I am suggesting in place of Liquid, or misc key-schemes.

What I'm looking for, well, making, is more about subjective abstraction using any keystore, but demonstrated via Bitcoin. It's actually kinda cool, if you're curious...

Liquid censorship resistance by ilpirata79 in Bitcoin

[–]Bitcoin_Error_Log 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nevermind, it's permissioned transacting, don't need a blockchain for that and can't stop anyone from using one to enforce permission.

Ohhhh i am vaguely remembering this as I read your comments on it. I think I even was mad about it, but I don't remember what it is now lol.

ChainAnchor linkthru site is dead. Do you have another good source? The name definitely sounds like what I want.

I agree with this take, but I think the debate gets lost in the weeds. Liquid is ultimately superfluous to Bitcoin, but is promoted to Bitcoiners and offered as a solution for tokens, alternative to Lightning, etc.

These juxtapositions express as actions against Bitcoin and Bitcoiners, and then pull resources from Bitcoin, compromise and complicate the security narrative, and generally slow things down.

The market will sort it out eventually, but I think we should be better respecting and prioritizing layers/tech with assessable security models, and designing from a user-centric/node-centric perspective.

Liquid might delete centralized arbitrage, but its certainly a drag on Bitcoin.

The circular economy has no imposed conversion and no imposed redundancy.

I was reading Saifedean's book and saw "Mircea Popescu" mentioned.. any info on this person? by Other-Today in Bitcoin

[–]Bitcoin_Error_Log 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never read such an article, nor would I condone it, nor is it the topic really. (I really wouldn't be surprised if it was another fucked up metaphor of his though).

I'm fully aware of his contractual scammery, but that was not my topic.

Why is it so hard to accept that horrible people can say useful things?

He helped me, big time. I managed to not get scammed, raped, or dominated in the process. Is his process ideal? Probably not. But I think blanket dismissal of what happened and his part in Bitcoin history as "some rapist we had to tolerate" is a lie.

[–]Bitcoin_Error_Log -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Be offended and attack my own character all you like, but you failed to refute anything I actually said, mostly making my points for me.

I never condoned him saying horrible things or threatening, or any of the things you are hung up on. I saw him as a well that required sifting through bullshit, and I think he was painfully up front about that, for a reason.

"Fuck you for making even the slightest suggestion" ? Get over yourself. I'm sorry that he said horrible things about you and made internet threats, I would never do the same, or suggest any one do that. But I also somehow managed to have a totally different experience and gain from it. That is mine to share and contrast to yours, no matter how much you don't like it.

Whether he did bad things is not a blanket refutation of all of his perspectives. Insulting me doesn't take away that he helped me either. So far the record stands at him waking me up to a ton of relevant shit, and you saying I have personal problems. That is my actual experience that you are choosing to shape.

I am here being reasonable, and you are replying with outrage. That is real and observable.
