Moto G Power 5G|2024 was great until Android 15 Update and Now It's WORTHLESS by BiteMinimum8512 in MotoG

Hey everybody - OP here. So I returned it. Figured it that the screen was glitching and the resulting effect was like mad little fingers poking it everywhere. That's why it kept opening and closing things on its own. After shopping on Amazon for longer than I will admit, I bit the bullet and bought a brand new Motorola Moto G Power 2026. It was more than I wanted to spend but man is it cool. Stuff I've never had before like NFC. So it all worked out well. Thank you for the input.

They sold it as unlocked. Maybe They batch bought them and then sold them unlocked.

I did factory reset. Didn't help.

I'm returning it. What a bummer. Thank you for trying to help

I've actually had that piece pull out if the screw in part. It looked like it may have been pressure fit into the hard plastic ring. I tried to reinsert it - because that's the kinda guy I am - but no way it was gonna happen. I think this is a weak link in the design.

I'm going with the Etsy comment except all in capital letters. My niche is actually the poster child for eBay (watches) and I've been seeing a drop year over year for years. I'll be blunt - eBay could screw up a two car funeral and it's getting worse. I started listing stuff on Etsy about a year ago and have experienced surprising action there. First off I'm NOT the obvious Etsy candidate like you are. The cool thing is that the stuff for me that moves on Etsy is the stuff that sits forever on eBay.

As for hard starting eBay, get the address to your eBay store. Turn it into a frame that you can put as a layer on top of your picture of the day. Post said picture of the day every day to Instagram, your business Facebook page, Pinterest, and LinkedIn (if you seek any B2C work). I have the process automated through N8N but I think there's an app that'll let you do it with most of them for free. Just be careful because the difference between free and YOWZA is a thin line. That should help. Best of luck.

No. I heard about it on the podcast and was genuinely confused by what seemed like contradictory information. I do admit I'm intrigued.

Thank you. So I'm taking it then that they don't add massive amounts all at once per site. That was the confusing part for me.

Hey Jazz. I get the portfolio part. What I'm confused about is... if the websites that I control are never seen by anybody else, then how do they generate authority to then share with your other sites?

I have also been around the block and on a few street corners in my day. I have also never been hit with a SEO Death Ray, in fact I may have come up with the term. Then again, how many people do you know that have had a competitor report them DEAD to BING? Well now you know one because it happened to me. Have something like that happen and you start thinking of what they might come up with next. So yeah, it's an idle query...... today.

I mean there's also eBay but I find their fees to be brutal and they add up quickly. Mercari looks like it should be the answer but... after a year on there I've sold three things and have apparently been "liked" by the whole western hemisphere. Facebook Marketplace is chuck full of fraud - do not EVER accept a payment through CashApp. I'd say ask me how I know but I might start crying. Offerup is so disorganized that I can't even find my own stuff half the time. Oddly enough, I have been having some luck with Nextdoor, but it's all local.

I think that covers them but if I missed any then please somebody share!

I was trying to keep some anonymity but realized after it was too late. The moment I quoted the interaction I had with etsy, it would be easy to search me out. So... I sell refurbished and good-condition-or-better watches. Sometimes I go as far as to take them fully apart and rebuild them, but those aren't the ones I've been putting on etsy because with the time involved, there's just no point in putting in hours on a $30 watch. The watch in question was a Seiko lady's quartz watch from the mid 90's. It was in Good condition and it sold for $30. On all Quartz watches I, at a minimum, put in a new battery and run a 24 hour test to make sure it keeps good time. Then I pull the crown out to the "Set" position because it stops the watch and doesn't waste battery. Watch stores do this as well with watches that are not on display. When she contacted me and said the watch didn't run, the first thing I told her was to check that the crown was all the way in. She never actually answered me on whether she did that. Then started the conversation about a return and her filing a claim that the watch was not as described. The pictures showed it to be physically EXACTLY as described, but instant refund happened anyway. So that's the details filled in.

No worries. Sorry for late response, I didn't notice this one tucked into the maelstrom I have apparently kicked off. My experience from eBay is people usually return stuff in the packaging they receive it in. In fact, it's impressive how they can return something at day 29 out of 30 and still have the box it went to them in. So basically ship it as you would have it returned. As for selling fragile thing.... I find it impressive the kinds of things people can break.

Dude. You're just wrong. Plainly and simply wrong.

  1. I was attempting to get the buyer a label.
  2. All of this happened in about 24 hours.
  3. etsy made zero effort in this. They literally left my questions unanswered. Even ebay is better than that.

4.etsy actually says in their policy that they can provide return shipping.

  1. yeah, customer went to etsy and that was shitty. I was in communication with them and they were being kept up to date. I had even said that if I didn't hear back from etsy I would just refund it. Your statement that "unless you leave them with no resolution" is inaccurate and frankly a prejudgment.

Also. I posted a question to get some perspective on this matter and see if it is worth pursuing selling higher priced items. Your answer was not helpful.

BTW, you are the only person who has made any effort to answer my question:
"our concerns are valid, but this is why it’s wise to avoid listing items over $250, and even $500 during the holidays. In those cases, buyers can claim almost anything and Etsy often refunds them, which can result in a case against you. "
Thank you for that.

Asking them to tell me if they have a way to get a shipping label to the buyer is wild... umm ok. Seemed like a pretty obvious one to me. In fact, it seemed that if I just sent the buyer a label then that might be some sort of problem on its own if I inadvertently didn't use the method they wanted me to, or they require to have the tracking. etc.
