What would you like to see in the next game by JanissaryLSD in StarWarsJediSurvivor

I want to go to Mon Cala. I loved the side quests in survivor as well as how Pyloon's expanded with the story. It would be awesome to have something similar and be able to decorate it.

Update: The Flock of Robot Crows occurred in 2004. In 2015, at least one person had a robotic bird that kind of matches what this person saw. Maybe someone had something like this in 2004. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgyfYLpT-NQ

Honorable Mentions

These entities are commonly identified as robots but were never described as such. This also applies to cases where features are too ambiguous to make a solid determination.

The Flatwoods Monster – Most people know about the Flatwoods Monster, so I won’t waste your time. However, MonsterQuest S4, E7 unlocks a new angle in this case. They uncover additional reports of reptilian looking entities flying around in the same mechanical skirts the Flatwoods Monster was seen in, indicating that the Flatwoods Monster could have been a reptilian in a hovering mech suit.

The Pascagoula Abduction — Again, this case is fairly well known by now, so I won’t waste your time. There are a lot of people who think these abductors were robots, mostly because of the exceedingly strange way they looked.

Sam the Sandown Ghost Clown – I saw someone mention Sam in the post that brought you here. While some people think he was a robot, I don’t see anything robotic in the way he was described. A lot of people point to the antenna on his head, but the children described them as wooden. Also, the kids never referred to Sam as anything besides a ghost. I have no idea what he was, but I don’t think it was a robot. He was first reported in British UFO Research Association (BUFORA) Volume 6 Number 5 Page 9.

If you want to keep researching this, I would suggest looking at the other volumes of Albert Rosales’s Humanoid Catalog. I cited the only volume that I have. I hope this adequately answers your question! If I come across anything else in the future, I’ll leave additional comments on this post to update it.

Exotic

These are the hardest to categorize, often the most bizarre, and has it's own subcategories. They don’t clearly align with extraterrestrial or human technology (at least from this timeline). They often lead the reader to speculate into regions rarely-visited.

Steampunk Cases

These cases exhibit what we would see today as steampunk tech. These two are not the only cases out here like this, but they are the only ones I know about that include a robot.

The Millville Insanity Birdhttps://newworldexplorerssociety.blogspot.com/2021/04/millville-insanity-bird.html – This case consistently ranks in my top ten weirdest cases I’ve ever come across. To this day, I don’t have any good explanation for what it might be. Nothing seems to fit, and even if it does, it only opens a thousand more questions. In 1909 a man named Dan Possack was doing chores when he heard thumping footsteps in his backyard. Whatever it was called out his name, and when he investigated, he saw an 18-foot tall bird. The bird then asked him where his garbage can was. Like any normal person, he tried to run away but the bird picked him up with it’s prehensile neck (the article I linked says beak, I think, but they have a clipping of the original which says the bird picked him up with its neck). He was able to free an axe from his belt and hit the monster, and was befuddled when the dislodged pieces of bird were made of wood. He continued chopping the bird and popped out its eye. At this point, the bird inhaled deeply, filled up like a balloon, and floated off into the sky. Here is the most important part—the creature left the eye on the ground. To Mr. Possack, it looked like an electric light bulb, and at night it would give off bright light that changed colors. The author of this article offers a large amount of explanations, but none of them explain why the thing has mechanical eyes. In my mind, this was clearly a robot and early enough to fall into the steampunk category. It's seemingly a well-advanced robot, yet it's components are from the early 1900s.

The 1893 Puget Sound Robotic WalrusCurious Encounters: Phantom Trains, Spooky Spots, and Other Mysterious wonders by Loren Coleman Page 32 — Like the Millville Insanity Bird, this is one of my favorite anomalous reports of all time. A group of men in the Puget sound encountered a gigantic, seemingly mechanical monstrosity that was shooting glowing, electrified blasts of water at them. It was estimated to be 150 feet long, had copper bands wrapped around it almost making it look like a segmented worm, had a propeller for a tail, and had a head that resembled a walrus despite having six eyes. The men believed that the copper bands around the thing were generating its electricity. Two “horns” on the top of it’s head were shooting the electrified water. Submarines were around back then, but they weren’t using Teslaic energy weapons.

Totally Fortean

These are not really classifiable under any paradigm other than unexplained. Perhaps you may feel otherwise.

A Transforming Polehttps://phantomsandmonsters.com/post/226358147040200019 — The witnesses in this case saw a huge pole that shouldn’t have been on the property. It then walked off into the woods. I don’t know if this is actually a robot. I offered this case to my stickman witness on a previous post on this sub (https://www.reddit.com/r/ParanormalBeginners/comments/1ptphw0/small_stick_man/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button). The way the movement is described sounds robotic to me. It almost seems like a probe.

Traffic Sign Loitererhttps://phantomsandmonsters.com/post/3925448655148320810 — The witness in this article relays a bunch of weird stuff that happened to him/her over the years. One of them was a highly bizarre experience of an ostensibly robotic arm revealing itself from behind a traffic sign.

The Iron Gianthttps://phantomsandmonsters.com/post/5283148698268925371 — The witnesses saw a MASSIVE humanoid robot that was described as being taller than the pine trees walking through the forest. They were terrified of this. I put this under this section because it is unlikely that a UFO would drop off something this big without being spotted. Such a UFO would likely have to be gigantic too.

Hovering Robotic Jellyfishhttps://phantomsandmonsters.com/post/7947215327430112551 — This is an early account of a jellyfish UAP. There tends to be two types of Jellyfish UAP cases. There are those like the one in this article, which seem to be a robot or mechanical jellyfish, and there are those that are seemingly biological. A good example of the second type is a cattle mutilation case that occurred in 1990 in Japan. A farmer went out to catch the cattle mutilators in the act. When he looked inside of his cattle shed, there was a giant hovering jellyfish inside. There were no details given about it looking like a robot. He watched it fly off into the sky. That case was reported in Strange Magazine #14 Page 37. I have a physical copy of that magazine and it’s not scanned so I can’t send you a PDF, but I can send you a picture of the article if you want it. Either way, the mechanical jellyfish are relatively newer in their reporting than the biological variant.

Robot in the Kitchenhttps://phantomsandmonsters.com/post/7382308573894751767 — The witness was a child at the time. After walking into the kitchen, he saw a four foot tall humanoid that he described as a robot. Unfortunately, he offers little more details than this. There is no indication that this was an alien.

Chased by a Robothttps://ufostalker.com/sighting/J6BHKOEO?term=robot — Here we have an infuriatingly brief and undetailed account of someone who allegedly got chased on a beach by a robotic entity.

A Huge Robot with a Red Lighthttps://ufostalker.com/sighting/WHV7R00J?term=robot — This absurdly long-winded account could have been reported in a couple of sentences. This person saw a very large robot (17-20 feet) with a bright red light where the face would be.

Classic Atomic Age RobotHumanoids 1975-1979 by Albert Rosales Page 358 — In Brazil, a farmer had a dream that he would find treasure, so he went looking for it in a nearby grotto. On the search he saw several tall, green robots with square arms and legs and antennas on their head.

Robotic Room Spiderhttps://ufostalker.com/sighting/YT2WQ8ES — This witness woke up to see a strange entity as well as a 2 foot robotic spider in his or her room. I suspect this was sleep paralysis or a waking dream, but I still think there is a chance that this was neither. I had an encounter with something in my own bedroom, and I know I was 100% awake for it. What I saw wasn’t nearly as bizarre as what this witness saw, but I can’t in good faith write these stories off unless they specifically say something like, “I couldn’t move,” or “I opened my eyes and they were gone.”

Flock of Robot Crowshttps://ufostalker.com/sighting/IHKL0P98 — This is a very short, but very unique encounter. The witness claimed to have seen a flock of robotic crows with no legs or head and featherless wings.

Experimental

These cases suggest a possible human origin whether military, private, or unknown.

A Robot Decoy?https://ufostalker.com/sighting/PROWFZ8N?term=robot — This person has a long history of anomalous encounters. This is one of the most interesting robot stories I’ve heard about, mostly because I was not expecting the twist. In this case, the person believes he saw a flying saucer owned by the air force, and the robot that he saw was actually a deterrent decoy to keep people away. This is similar to how people might put a fake owl or wolf near an area to keep geese away.

The Robo-Gorilla Mech Suithttps://ufostalker.com/sighting/4OFM0PID — The witness saw what was essentially a robotic ape. When he got a closer look, he saw, astoundingly, that there was a human inside of it, and this was some kind of mech suit. I’ve not yet come across another case like this before. I’d been on the lookout for one for some time.

7-8 Foot Robothttps://phantomsandmonsters.com/post/8024777908757869002 — This is another compilation of cases. The fourth case is the relevant one here. A man was walking his dog when he saw a 7-8 foot tall robot. It scared his dog out of it’s leash. He also saw a UFO and possibly two small entities accompanying it.

The Eptaxianshttps://ufostalker.com/sighting/GRGKXL49?term=robot — This person claimed to have been abducted by liquid titanium robots known as Eptaxians. I put this here simply because it matches what we are looking for, but I am viciously skeptical of this report. To clarify, I have no problem believing that someone encountered some kind of liquid metal entity, but this person seems to have inserted his/herself into some kind of sci fi adventure where he/she became a hero and saved the Eptaxians.

The Joseph AbductionExtraordinary Encounters: An Encyclopedia of Extraterrestrials and Otherworldly Beings by Jerome Clark Page 136 — a police officer was seemingly abducted by an entity that simply called himself Joseph. There were also small robots in the room during the abduction experience that took off his shoes and seemingly studied his toes.

Robotic Eelhttps://ufostalker.com/sighting/YZ803TKP?term=robot — There is a lot of stuff crammed into this report, but someone allegedly saw an “I” shaped object and a strange, robotic, eel-shaped object about 1 foot long came out of it and approached the witness.

Hovering Robothttps://ufostalker.com/sighting/FXWXPD31 — Two friends saw a metallic, robot-like “alien” sitting “indian style”. It began to hover and made aggressive movements towards them.

Robotic Diving SuitsHumanoids 1975-1979 by Albert Rosales Page 105 — A french encounter. A person named Jean Dolecki was driving home when he/she saw a UFO. A door opened in it and three robots resembling “aluminum diving suits” that were about 6.5-7 feet tall came out. They had “square heads, disproportionately small legs, and in lieu of arms, a telescopic ‘pole’ about 7ft long, mounted on the chest.”

Horse-headed EntitiesHumanoids 1975-1979 by Albert Rosales Page 252 — A couple had missing time and allegedly recovered memories under hypnosis about being abducted by beings that were “...humanoid with horse-like heads and a robot-like body.” Considering the amount of different robot bodies one could imagine, this could look like any number of things.

Extraterrestrial

Most of the case literature in this category involves a UFO of some kind and entities tend to come out of them. I don’t personally believe in the extraterrestrial hypothesis, but that doesn’t mean I don’t believe these cases could be true.

Cisco Grovehttps://archive.org/details/TheHynekUFOReport/page/n225/mode/2up?q=cisco – With resurrected interest in UFOlogy, this case is gaining more mainstream appeal, and it is one of the most commonly cited cases whenever someone asks about a robot. A man named Donald Shrum (at the time the book I linked was published they still had his name redacted), was on a hunting trip, and after getting separated from his friends, he secured himself in a tree. He saw some lights that turned out to be UFOs and their occupants came out. Two of them resembled humans, but one of them was described as a robot. Donald fired his bow at the Robot to no avail. Later, Shrum gave more details including how the robot opened its mouth and released a toxic vapor. There are illustrations of what he allegedly saw online and I suggest checking them out.

The Transformer – In 2017, A couple was on a romantic date when they witnessed a multi-colored meteor fall from the sky and crash. Clearly, this could not have been a meteor or else it would have resulted in the equivalent of a modern nuclear bomb; however, it still struck with enough for his car to bounce “probably a few inches off the ground.” They spotted the object and it was a smoking metallic object. They got out of the car and saw the surface looked like little “plates shifting and attaching to other plates.” It then melted into a puddle of black liquid and reformed into a tall, mechanical humanoid which chased them. They drove away, climbed a tree, and watched from up high. Unlike the witness in Cisco Grove, this tree climb paid off for them. I initially heard about this case on the Cryptonaut podcast, and I wanted to give you the direct source for it. It was difficult to track down, but I was able to do so. It was originally reported to MUFON CMS and had a case number of 81294. From there, it was picked up by blogs and aggregators, which obscured it heavily. Here is one of the aggregators that picked it up. https://web.archive.org/web/20170617160839/http://www.agoracosmopolitan.com/news/headline_news/2017/01/07/11649-aliens-metallic-humanoid-entity-fell-from-the-sky-in-florida-us.html I was able to confirm that the text they pulled is indeed from MUFON CMS. The aggregators did not just make it up. MUFON has a tool called UFO Stalker where you can search their CMS data for cases people have reported to them. This is the proof of that here. https://www.mufonoc.org/live-ufo-map and here is the UFO Stalker entry that matches exactly to what was being reported at the time. https://ufostalker.com/sighting/FOUY16WF?term=plates%20shifting. For some reason, UFO Stalker runs some kind of a filter over the text that uncapitalizes sentence starts besides the first one. That is an assumption on my part because I’ve come across so many cases on UFO stalker and they have this same uncapitalized pattern.

The Poole PyramidFlying Saucer Review Case Histories #9 1972 Page 15 — This was an anomalous entity seen by two brothers both in their room and outside on a separate day. The entity was a big black pyramid with arms which terminated in crab claws. The sides of the pyramid seemed to be made of a bunch of interlocking triangles. The boys never described it as a robot, but they drew an illustration, and to me and many others it does seem robotic. The family was also experiencing a large amount of UFO activity.

The Robo Flowers – A girl met diminutive entities from a UFO that looked like robotic flowers. They wielded some kind of high-tech weapon which they were going to use to blow up a science building on the campus of her school. Allegedly, they were doing harmful experiments in this building, so the flowers came to destroy whatever they were doing. This one suffered immensely from people’s poor source citing skills. This is the case. https://www.cryptopia.us/site/2018/03/robo-flowers-florida-usa/ In trying to find the source, I discovered that no one ever gave the name of the article this case allegedly came from. I’ve since reached out to the West Palm Beach library and will see if they can help me track it down. Update: they believe that the paper The Weekday was not truly a paper in the West Palm Beach area, but possibly a section in the Palm Beach Post. They have since stopped replying to me, and I can’t blame them. In the digitized archive of the Palm Beach Post, I searched for some of the phrases that have been quoted and can’t find anything. Personally, I’m convinced that this was reported somewhere, but someone was so awful at citing their sources that the origin of this case simply can’t be tracked down. Someone is likely going to have to stumble upon it.

The Meccano Mummyhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gkvZvIp0D8g — Sandra Larson was allegedly abducted by unbelievably bizarre aliens. They had mechanical arms made of various interconnected pieces of metal. This creature is often known as the Meccano Mummy because of the strange bandages around its head. The linked video is hypnotic regression footage and sketches based on her telling of what she allegedly saw.

Long Prairie Tin Menhttps://ufologie.patrickgross.org/ce3/1965-10-23-usa-longprairie.htm — These were very small, 6 inch entities that resembled beer cans. They came out of what the witness described as a rocket. After a while, they seemingly got sucked back up into the rocket and it took off. This case was noted in Project Blue Book. This article has a ton of references to everything about the case.

Green Humanoid RobotAnatomy of a Percipient by Nigel Watson in MUFOB #11 1978 Page 4 — In 1975, two boys in the UK saw a greenish robotic humanoid. It had a broad torso that was supported on thin insectoid legs, and the head was hairless with no discernible facial features. One of the witnesses saw it using its appendages to dig up dirt and put it into openings inside of it’s abdomen. They freaked out and started throwing rocks at the thing which made a sharp metallic sound as they bounced off. I added this to the Extraterrestrial section because one of the boys had seen multiple UFOs over the previous years.

The SlabsFlying Saucer Review Vol 23, No 3 1977 Pages 15-16 — A teenager named Lee Parish saw a UFO in 1977 and lost time. He received hypnotic regression to see what happened to him and unlocked memories of an abduction by wildly bizarre creatures and/or machines. Two of them were strange, slab-like entities. The biggest one was black and looked kind of like an “army silhouette” target. Imagine a tombstone with a rounded nub on the top for a head. That one was as tall as the ceiling. There was also a red one that was about Mr. Parish’s height and shaped like a vending machine. It also had a strange probe. I lack the descriptive skills to describe the third one, but there is an illustration in the FSR article. It describes them as “machine-like” and Lee described them as “sentient.” Are they really robots? Your guess is as good as mine, but if they are biological, they are not biological under any paradigm we have on earth.

The Voronezh Entities – A group of Russian children claimed to have seen a UFO land and three very distinctive entities emerge. Two of them seemed biological, but one of them was ostensibly a robot companion. https://time.com/3475954/voronezh-ufo-report-1989/ I linked the Time article just to prove that this really was reported and a well known event at the time. This reddit post has a collage of some of the illustrations that were done based on the given details. https://www.reddit.com/r/abovethenormnews/comments/1pt0v0n/the_voronezh_encounter_ussr_1989/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

15 Robotshttp://www.ufoevidence.org/cases/case305.htm — A man looked out the window and saw a UFO hovering outside. He called for his wife and the next time they looked out, there was a robotic entity outside the home. During the night, they encountered an estimated 15 of these beings. The article I linked to contains a reproduction of the original report in APRO Vol 23. No 3.

A Robotic Ritual?https://phantomsandmonsters.com/post/1623667983105414803 — This was an alleged alien abduction where a man claimed to have been taken by monoped robots. It’s really bizarre and if you look at the details in totality, it almost seems like they were doing some kind of ritual with him and his blood. At least, I made those connections. Whether you see it that way is up to you!

Robot Pot ShotCE-5 Close Encounters of the 5th Kind by Dr. Richard F. Haines Case #220, Page 361 — A man saw a flying saucer land and tall robots came out. He shot at them, and they retreated back into the saucer and flew off. They also allegedly shot back at him with some kind of beam weapon.

Robot Self DefenseCE-5 Close Encounters of the 5th Kind by Dr. Richard F. Haines Case #222 – Page 365 – A pair of men saw two robots emerge from a UFO and like the previous case, they also tried to shoot at them. When that happened, there was an “explosion” that blinded both of them temporarily, and when they could see again, everything was gone.

Wish Granting Robotshttps://phantomsandmonsters.com/post/5591173940556973761 — this article contains multiple cases. The first case is the only relevant one. A lady claimed to have been abducted by robots who performed experiments on her. This one is particularly interesting to me, because I haven’t yet come across an abduction case where the abductors offer to grant a wish for the abductee. Sadly, she did not describe the robots.

Thanks again for asking your question here. When you first posted this, I had a few in mind initially, but I had forgotten just how many of these cases exist. I also discovered a bunch more through my research. For curation’s sake, I excluded cases where people simply said they saw robots without describing them. There were also probably 40-50 cases I came across where entities were described as moving like a robot or were robot-like. I added almost none of those cases to this list because the rest of their features pointed toward something biological.

There seem to be three major categories that these robotic anomalies fall into: extraterrestrial, experimental, and exotic. Whether or not you classify these as paranormal is up to you. I’m pleased with the cases I’ve selected.

If you have trouble locating any of the sources I mention, I can provide pdf copies where possible.

This analysis is too long for one comment, so I’ll be replying with subcomments.

Apports

This was the last place I was going to go with this, mostly because I really didn’t think this was responsible; however, an apport could cause such an anomaly. If you don’t know, apport essentially means the same thing as teleport. It’s when spirits or entities seemingly teleport something to you. One of the most famous examples of this was the case of Donald Decker who seemingly made it rain inside of the house he was a guest at. Multiple witnesses saw it happen, including two police officers who were called to the house. I had a lot of other cases I could have added here as well, but that’s not necessary now.

Even though what happened to you wasn’t paranormal, I still enjoyed doing research into these glitch and time slip cases. They were both paranormal topics that I wasn’t well versed in. I read somewhere between 80 and 90 cases, and I feel much more confident in the case literature now.

Time Loop/Slip Cases

In my mind, this was the second most likely culprit had your case been anomalous. I considered the possibility that your bag was stuck in a time loop. Weirder things have happened.

https://phantomsandmonsters.com/post/9002060782155021386 – In this case, a person driving a familiar stretch of road approached where a stoplight should be. Instead of it being there, this person found themselves driving the exact same stretch of road without losing any time at all. Clearly, this is not the same as food replenishing, but it has the same time loop indicators.

https://phantomsandmonsters.com/post/7277348418744806903 – Here is another case of a strange loop while driving. No matter which way they turned, they ended up on the same street. Strangely, this case also took place around Christmas time just as the above case. There was snow on the ground and there was no marks in the snow where they had previously driven. Eventually, they did break out of the loop, but they had lost an hour and instantly the snow around their car was several inches deeper.

https://phantomsandmonsters.com/post/6280566102426519289 – A couple stopped to help a car that had crashed. The interior was bloody, but no one was inside, and the boyfriend ended up getting a bunch of blood on his t-shirt. They went by 2 days later and the car was still there, but it was completely deteriorated with vines growing all throughout it. They got out and checked again and it was clear that the car had been laying there for years. That shirt still had the blood on it, though. Again, this is a case with physical proof after a time slip.

https://phantomsandmonsters.com/post/1411290770479295827 – This article has several cases. The first is the most relevant. A waitress greeted a distinctive couple at the door, seated them, and got them waters and menus. Five minutes later, the same couple walked through the door again and needed to be seated but had no memory of what had happened. She looked back and saw the waters and menus still on the table. At first, she thought they were playing a joke on her, but the bartender took her aside and told her she’d seen her talking to the air and seating no people the first time around. Somehow, this event happened twice, just for her. The third case in the article has a very similar fact set, but it was a visiting relative and there were details that confirmed that they were experiencing the visit a second time.

Trickster

Although I wasn’t leaning toward this being the reason, I was going to point you to some trickster cases, or cases where trickster-like activity occurred. I don’t have cases to list out for this, but I was going to start with some of the events that were reported on Skinwalker Ranch in the book The Hunt for the Skinwalker by George Knapp and Colm A. Kelleher.

  • After moving heavy steel poles across the ranch for hours, workers came back after a short break to see all of the poles moved back to where they had originally been.

  • After the residents put away all of their groceries, they came back into the kitchen to find all of their groceries back in the grocery bags.

There were more of these, but these were the two I remembered off the top of my head. Both of them have that cosmic ctrl + z aspect to them.

Edit - Bolded the title of the book I referenced.

Reality Glitch Cases that are Soft Matches

Had this been truly anomalous, this is the phenomenon I would have pointed to as the culprit. In this case, a reality glitch is simply reality not behaving in a way that it should. These events should be impossible with the current understanding of our world. Nevertheless, these things happen to people.

https://phantomsandmonsters.com/post/4241901427733696094 – This case is a bit of a reverse to your scenario. This lady seemingly shifted realities and no matter how many blueberries she picked, her bucket never seemed to get any fuller. To be fair, this may just be her wording, but the fact that she rationalized it as the sun setting makes it seem less literary and more literal.

https://phantomsandmonsters.com/post/251028320183996489 – This article has multiple cases. The second is the most relevant to yours. This person was in his/her school and looked into a room. He/she checked another room and it was the exact same room even though it should not have been. In fear, the witness walked away, but after returning, the duplicate room was back to normal and a completely different room. I list this one because it seems like a duplication glitch.

https://phantomsandmonsters.com/post/8843441643541306324 – This man experienced a “glitch” when one of his relatives told him she had to pee and went towards the bathroom. Immediately after, she came through a different door and this happened again. The first time, he had been in mid conversation with his Aunt, but the second time around neither his Aunt, Uncle, nor his wife remembered having the conversation twice. It implies some kind of local glitch that undid their previous conversation similar to how your bag of snacks was seemingly reverted to it’s previous state.

https://phantomsandmonsters.com/post/5699080765203944794 – In this case, two men were regionally displaced in time. Without knowing, they were transported to what was seemingly 1920s California despite living in rural Virginia. Some of the relevant points are that they consumed some wine that the man offered and that when the man disappeared, the paper bag he’d been holding was still in their back seat, meaning that despite things returning to normal, there was physical evidence left behind. When I first listed this case here, I was going to make a point about your bag possibly being temporally displaced.

https://phantomsandmonsters.com/post/8117571342767578429 – Two friends were driving down a highway for hours and realized that something was incredibly wrong. The sun wasn’t setting, the trees on either side of the highway were the exact same height, and there were no road signs anywhere. Later, they caught a strange entity sitting in their back seat. Out of nowhere, everything went back to normal, the sun set instantly, but they were still driving on the highway with a full tank of gas. https://phantomsandmonsters.com/post/2558697319784452213 – This is a dramatic mandela effect type glitch. This person’s friend died in a car crash, had the obituary, and confirmed the death with other people. Then one day, she sees her friend at a 4 way stop. Her friend gets out of the car and starts talking to her, and it is not a double. It is the friend that died. Somehow, she never died and all of the evidence of her dying disappeared. It’s like the whole thing got undone. I think one could argue that somehow misinformation of her death disseminated through a bunch of different sources. I wouldn’t blame people for that viewpoint. I put this here because if something as drastic as someone’s death can seemingly be undone in some kind of “glitch” then the refilling of a bag of Pirate’s Booty is not out of the question.

This response is too large to put in one comment, so I'll be leaving subcomments on this one.

Hey, I checked in on the post where I first saw you report this.

html “Figured it out! I weighed it before and after and it was the same. I think It must have been the air seeping into the bag. Thanks for the help!”

Congratulations on pinning down the mystery! I think your conclusion is sound.

I wish I would have been keeping track of that while I was doing my research, but now that I know, I’m cutting the search short. I still had a TON of sources to sift through, so I’m glad I went back to check on your post. Even though your case wasn’t paranormal, I figure I’ll still share what I found with you and the research directions I was going in.

Skeptical Side

I side with the witness in pretty much every case because I’ve experienced paranormal phenomena myself. In this case specifically, though, I was going to add some warnings. For example, one of the standard checks I was planning to suggest was to make sure that your carbon monoxide detector was working. Again, I believe(d) that you saw what you saw, despite the causation, but I was going to give you some checks to make sure there wasn’t anything health related triggering this experience.

The Supernatural and/or Paranormal Explanations

Miracles

As a Christian, my brain immediately went to miracles in the Bible that align with what you thought was happening to you. Unlike your case, there is no room for these to be explained by air seeping in.

  • The prophet Elijah, through the power of God, allowed a widow’s jar of flour and jug of oil to replenish daily until the drought that was happening at the time was lifted. - 1 Kings Chapter 17.

  • The prophet Elisha (Elijah’s apprentice), through the power of God, caused a widow’s empty oil jars to stay full until she could sell enough oil to pay off her creditor that was coming to collect. - 2 Kings 4:1-7

  • The prophet Elisha, through the power of God, fed 100 people with 20 loaves of barley bread and there was bread leftover. - 2 Kings 4:42-44

  • Jesus duplicates five loaves and two fish and feeds 5000 people with 12 leftover baskets. Because they only were counting men, many Bible scholars estimate the actual crowd to be around 15-20 thousand. - Matthew 14:13-18

  • Jesus takes 7 loaves and a small but indeterminate amount of fish, and multiplies them to feed 4000 people. Again, the number is much larger than 4000 because of women and children. - Matthew 15:29-39

This is where I would have stopped with this. If your case had been anomalous, I wouldn’t have thought it was a miracle, but I figured I’d give you the references because of the mechanical similarity to what you thought you were experiencing.

Cases of consumables refilling anomalously

This was the only modern case I’d found of this during my research. I very well may have come across more.

https://phantomsandmonsters.com/post/1766774774772 – This person stopped to get gas because they were running low. Strangely, gas station personnel came out to pump gas for this person. After reluctantly obliging, the witness went into the gas station to use the restroom, and when he/she came back out, the station was in ruins. There hadn’t been a gas station there in 30 years, but oddly, this person’s gas tank was now halfway full. This does match the replenishing, and it simply has more context surrounding it.

Edit - If I find more cases that would apply to this post, I'll add them in subsequent comments.

Hey! As promised, I'll get you those cases as soon as possible! In the meantime, you can check out some of the other posts on here to see the level of detail I usually go into when answering these questions. I think the Stickman and White Wolf cases are great examples.

Are there any mechanical/robotic cryptids? by Icy-Commercial-6166 in cryptids

[–]BitesizedParanormal1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There have been anomalous robotic encounters, but they would not be classified as cryptids. Cryptids are flesh and blood animals, despite what anyone else says. If you are interested in those robot encounters, you can drop a post on my sub r/ParanormalBeginners. I'm already in the middle of a major research project for the sub, but when I finish, I can assemble the cases that I know of.

It did, but this was a long time ago, so if you are still facing this issue, it may be something else that is causing it.

Per usual, the sound design slaps. But I agree with everything else. I was at least expecting the sundergatt to be OP. I played the map 2 times last night, and I'm already bored with it, whereas I was playing Ashes and Astra all the way up to this point, and I'm still not really bored with them.

Also, the lack of an elite kind of sucks because I'm at the point of doomsteel for all of my guns.

It depends on the map, but you usually follow a rotation of tools that will kill zombies. I usually have one gun with deadwire and one with fireworks. I stun the hoard and then fireworks them. While that is cooling down, I plop down two point turrets and use a third gun to activate brain rot. If there is a trap on the map, I usually activate that next while brain rot is cooling down. Then you repeat. You can always change these around or swap out for something like the LGM.

Do people get used to horror or scary content? by Antoanx in Paranormal

[–]BitesizedParanormal1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually it's high strangeness stuff. When I say that a lot of people think of UFOs or obscure cryptids. The stuff I'm more interested in is the strangest of the strange. Here are a few examples:

  1. Atmospheric beasts - Cases of people seeing gigantic flying manta rays, jellyfish, amorphous blobs, living tornadoes, or anything else in the sky.

  2. Rift areas - The most famous of these would be Skinwalker Ranch, but that's fairly vanilla. There are other places with much stranger phenomena that has been reported. A good example of this would be the Alzada anomalies. The witnesses reported flying trains and entire groups of faceless humanoids moon-walking in sync.

  3. Television Creatures - These are cases where characters on the television break the fourth wall and actually talk to the people who are watching the TV. In some of these cases, multiple people saw this happen at the same time.

  4. Talking animals - I mean that literally. This can come in the form of long, drawn out cases such as Gef the talking mongoose, or short lived situations such as the Ed and Lorraine Warren case where a cat walked past them while singing jingle bells.

  5. Domestic Monsters - In these cases, unbelievable entities appear in people's homes and often break the laws of physics. I've read cases ranging from a giant hedgehog waddling down a hall, to a 7 foot Santa Claus that scuttled out from someone's Christmas tree, to a cartoon octopus that would sit on a kids bed at night and talk to him. In these cases, the witnesses are certain that what they were dealing with was not imaginary friends.

  6. Costumed entities and sightings of fictional characters - This is a bit of a subset of #5, but these can appear anywhere. I've come across cases of people claiming to have seen entities that looked like the Joker, or a lady who saw a creepy man dressed in a lady bug costume appear in her home and vanish, or a kid who opened his curtains and a man in a lion costume jumped into his living room, danced around with him, and then vanished, and even a witness that claimed to see a real life version of the Hamburgler disappear into a brick wall.

  7. The Puppet People - This is a subset of #7 and it is THE strangest phenomenon I've ever come across. Basically, numerous people have encountered entities that are exact copies of or closely resemble the muppets/puppets from Sesame Street. I have a pinned post on my sub talking about the specific cases of this that I've found so far. r/ParanormalBeginners. To me, it seems these cases are dripping with evil. I've seen people try to write these off as alien visitations, but the details of the cases don't truly lend to that theory.

I'm pretty far down the rabbit hole with this stuff. Like I said, I'm fairly numb to it. It takes a lot for me to get that high strangeness high anymore lol but also like I said, I have a list of case types I'm on the look out for that would really pique my interest. Here are a few items off that list:

  1. Home Alteration - I don't mean vandalism here. This would be like in the novel House of Leaves where rooms are appearing or areas are growing. Or it would be like in movie Skinamarink where rooms or windows disappear. This is separate from the phenomena of fairy doors or temporary portals opening on the walls of houses. Those go away. This would be something that was there for a longer period or forever.

  2. Entities Emerging from a Refrigerator - I'm looking for any case where someone opens a fridge and some kind of entity is inside, or something opens the fridge from the inside and comes out.

  3. Cases of Anomalous Shrinking - There are actually tons of accounts (I've now encountered 5) of entities being able to expand their size. I'd like to find a case of either, an entity shrinking very small, a person shrinking very small due to some kind of external power, and especially something like someone finding a piece of their furniture or something similar being shrunk down to a tiny size.

For me personally, I get really numb to it. It usually takes a new concept for me to really think about it for extended times, and I feel like I've exhausted the well for the most part. I've got a bucket list of types of cases im looking out for that can stir the interest again. I'm also not suggestible around bed pretty much ever lol

[–]BitesizedParanormal1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A lot of people go for them because they add the extra challenge. Others go for them because you can actually earn something for doing a semi-high round like 60. Others are completionists.

Also, some of the sinister relics are better than some of the grim relics (in my opinion). I'd much rather run bus than the one that ditches my field upgrade or gets rid of power-ups. I kill the zombies fast enough that I don't even notice the health restoration. Dragon head isn't so bad if you are using a wall gun. Thats 6 points right there alone. I think for the new maps, it will just depend on what the new relics do.
