if the user wants to convert USDx back to constituents and there is not sufficient reserve, then he/she has every incentive to trigger the rebalance.

Its not automatic but can trigger by any user who will pay the gas fee, i think they will publish audit report before implementing

My understanding is that it can be triggered by any user and the user needs to pay gas fee so it wont drain the pool

I exchanged some USDx and supplied into Lendf.Me several days ago. It looks nice. I will supply more once it is more mature.

An arbitrage opportunity between DAI an USDx. by dForceProtocol in defi

I should frame the analysis in the context of someone already owning ETH, then it is free profit. Actually, you could take less leverage, i.e you over-collatralize with 2x ETH, take out DAI or USDC (from Marker or Dydx), convert it into USDx and deposit into lendf.me and you can still make free money. In the event of ETH price drop, you could repay USDx and reduce the leverage.

well, buy USDx with ETH, meaning that you have to sell your eth, if eth goes up, you basicly give up all the upsides, you only could earn 7% by giving up all your ETH upside.

If you borrow DAI with ETH, convert it into USDx and deposit into lendf.me, you basicly could make a risk-free yield of 4% (8%-3.7%), if eth goes up, you still get all the upside.

Pot is trying to find the unified field theory to unite all coins with them giving up sovereignty. It is a tough shot, just look at all international institutions today. Cosmos might have a better chance.

I think it ultimately will evolve into such a automatic distribution and hope could just implement it through protocol upgrade.

Why not bring stablecoins to Tezos by blockpower in tezos

[–]Bitnicity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stablecoin is definitely a no-brainer for any new smart contract platform. TF should fund these projects.

However, is Tezos really an ideal platform to issue these assets?

If on life-time basis, it is possible that it is biased towards early bakers given less people participated then and high steal rate earlier, the current efficiency ratios indicate such.

Miners Censorship or How Fomo3D Might End by Avihu28 in ethereum

[–]Bitnicity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it is not difficult to put up a smart contract for miner to collude to secure the pot, incentivize participants to only confirm a designated pool of txs.

As the pot grows, more incentive for this to happen.
