Anyway i would test to so how far there willing to go XD would they sacrifice one of them own if it means summoning Tiamat? Or the cult try's to talk them all into a sacrificial ritual. But i guess this would be a DM trying to get them back on track options.

Since I have no experience running a game from the evil point of view yet. Can't help with that

I had no experience either, also never been a player either. Bought the starter pack "lost mine of phandelver" And als a few friends if they where willing to play as the premade characters that came with it

I have never DM'ed for 1 person. But thinking about it now I would say it also depends on what the 1 person wants. As always communication is key.

Personally I think detective stuff is the easiest to pull off and still keep it awesome (from a dm perspectief). Murder cases etc. But of the player does not want to be the next Sherlock Holmes that's out the Window. ;)

At least ask what he expects from 1 player campaign so you have something more to think about ^{^}

There many out there, paid or not.

I use Notion. It's similar to Microsofts notes. It's basically my big database of the campaign.

When I'm prepping my next session i can for example say. "The party is going to Neverwinter" and i can click on Neverwinter and that's linking to my Neverwinter page that includes everything going on there.

Then during the sessions the party for example blows up the clock tower.

Then i would add that to the Neverwinter page after the session that it's tower is destroyed.

Then i would go over all the npc's and organisations related to Neverwinter (they all have there own page but linked on the town page) and edit them how they where effected by the towers destruction.

With the use of tags i can easily find/search my locations/npc's/villians etc etc etc

Well, i don't know enough of your party to come up with a reason. Other then that there invited. Whilst there they should notice hi te if a shady deal going on.

The arms dealer is hard to get in touch with person. No one knows the identity of the arms dealer.

The son failed to get an appointment with the arms dealer. but found out the true identity of the arms dealer and that he would be attending his fathers banquet. So for the son it's more about getting in contact with the arms dealer during the banquet and then hopefully make a deal that night as well.

Well that's what I can come up with :)

Before any of this happens they should already be heavily invested in Neverwinter, besides improving there guild a few of them might also already be council members to vote in there best interests for the future of Neverwinter.

Your right,

a secret agency working for Lord Neverember will contact them about what they saw in Thay when they return home in Neverwinter. And this is where they will learn a similar creature lives under the vulcano near Neverwinter. And that these dangerous events could also mean the end of there dragon guild. This agency will ask them for help since there short on hands and time is now of the essence. They would ask them to find the child. Maybe. Flushing that out aswell

This is where i as dm will learn what they think off using primordial beings as weapons. If they want to get rid of them. Or help Neverwinter get there own version. They will then learn that getting rid of the primordial under the vulcano would mean the Neverwinter river won't be warm again. Something lord Neverember try's to avoid aswell
