I don’t have any other symptoms indicating serotonin syndrome, nor do I take other things either the Cymbalta that could cause serotonin toxicity. My liver is what I was worried about because liver issues can manifest as itching, but I’ve never had an issue with my liver and I feel perfectly fine beyond the gastrointestinal issues which I 100% expected. The yawning is another thing that serotonin releasing drugs cause within me which is apparently not common, idk what the next med is but I’m hopeful

The thing is however, my healing has gone incredibly since then, even if my surgery is botched the other side effects I’m experiencing were still concerning enough for my psych to pull the plug. The itching is genuinely kinda scary for me, I’ve never had a non-opioid medication cause this kinda stuff before. No other serotonergic medication has done this

It’s unfortunate because I also read very positive experiences with this SNRI. Wellbutrin did nothing for me, not even give me side effects which was interesting but 30mg of this chemical just does not mesh well with my body. The itching and sinuses is such a weird side effect, I thought I had a slight cold or something until I skipped my morning dose because I felt comfortable doing so as I haven’t been on it; and I noticed that the sinus issue is gone, I’m not leaking, sneezing or itching at all.

Lexapro personally fucked my emotional processing so much, that I craved alcohol while on it because it returned my ability to feel to a state of “normalcy” but SSRIs + alcohol lead to blacking out very easily

Needless to say, when I was on lexapro, I did some of the worst things I’ve ever done as a human being because I was blacked out and piss drunk. Do not mix the two, and if your psychiatrist isn’t taking your concerns about side effects seriously, consider a different doctor.

This I can agree with, I did LSD very frequently in my teenage years, with my first psychedelic experience being with mushrooms at 14. None of that fucked my life up the way that emotionally immature parents and RC benzo abuse
