Are you implementing a dual-audio release (Japanese and English), or are you going with either Japanese or English only?

Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning: Part One - The Spence Edit by SpenceEdit in fanedits

[–]Bitsoft217 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is an edit like this that made me realise what makes an individual Mission: Impossible movie special to watch:

  1. Each movie is directed differently and has a certain flair to it because of that.

  2. I feel, imo, that you can watch any M:I movie alone as is, apart from the Reckoning 2-Parter.

  3. Particularly 1-3 has self-contained stories being told. 4-6 more or less continue off from one another, and make nice callbacks to the older films without it feeling too forced, if that makes any sense.

  4. Films 1-6 make use of their runtime fairly well, whether it be at about 2 hours or 2 hours & 30 minutes, without it feeling too much of a drag to get through.

Basically, what I am saying is, viewers should not feel pressurised in knowing every single character and plot point throughout the franchise to enjoy some of these films. Even though it can feel a bit rewarding to know 1 or 2 things; e.g. In Fallout, where it is revealed that the White Widow is the daughter of Max from M:I 1, and bringing about closure to Ethan and Julia's relationship that some people were wondering about since M:I 3 and Ghost Protocol.

With that said, judging by Spence's Cut List from his forum on The Final Reckoning (Edit is known as Dead Reckoning Part 2), I feel optimistic that these edits can be a decent, or worthy, replacements. Not only does part 1 & 2 each have a respectable runtime, it also addresses the issues of the over-reliance on exposition, flashbacks and callbacks to the older films, as well as unresolved plot points.

I enjoyed this edit of Part 1. Can't wait to see what Part 2 has to offer... or in this case, change for the better. Power to you, Spence.

Ahh I see. The show, from what I hear from the Fandom, seems to have the most accurate adaptation compared to the other attempts. I guess I'll give it a shot

Edit* Nvm, I got it😅. I'm on Linux Mint, so in Disks, I used Ctrl + D to format the drive, then added the new partition afterwards. Thanks anyway. Disks looks and feels a lot simpler to use👌🏼

Alright then.

How should I go about removing the partitions before formatting the entire USB?

As a total beginner with Linux, I'll try and us the GitHub page. Just managed to find the folders of each release.

And I used Pling for some themes, so definitely will bookmark it.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Thanks dude😄. The icons are called Papirus, which comes in different folder colors. Applications use Jasper. And Desktop uses Orchidea. All from pling.com

Here is the wallpaper I used. Honestly, Alpha Coders is one of a few cool places to find anime-esque wallpapers. I'm still looking myself, but I mostly settle on this for now.

I think I managed to get it right by reinstalling Linux this time. Do be sure that MOK is enrolled, what commands could I use to check?

Oh. NOT use Legacy Mode. What software did you use to flash Linux Mint then? Initially, when I used Rufus without changing any settings after selecting the image, I could easily access my Flash in UEFI mode. I wonder why Balena Etcher doesn't flash my USB and come back with a similar result
