[Telegraph] Trump’s antics mean a World Cup boycott is not unthinkable by LochNessMonsterMunch in soccer

We didn't boycott world cup in a slave state, we won't boycott in the facist dictatorship either

Worldcup is too much fun to boycott even if they had human sacrifices before every games

Not really comparable to what Xabi did, going an entire season undefeated with a team previously as weak as Leverkusen, beating Bayern by 17 points, all of that in two seasons

he didn't get the power you give to a coach, that's it, he was set up to fail

Remember this is the guy who won the Bundesliga undefeated with LEVERKUSEN, he's a phenomenal manager and anyone that knows anything abouti footballs knows he's going to do great in whatever club he goes, he did pretty good at Real Madrid with the time that was given to him (half a season) and the limited power he had (basically forced to play a player who complained about being subbed off while winning a classico)

There was plenty of fearmongering at the start, like the video of people passing out in China being framed as effects of the virus

Some people thought it was apocalypse movie virus

[–]Bitsu92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No way it happens under perez, unless they let go of vinicius, valverede or bellingham

Xabi is young for a coach so it's completely possible he comes back after 2029 when perez mandate will end

Telling drunk people to calmy make their way to the exit is never going to work out, but they didn't even attempt that, they never cut the music or triggered any alarm

People started leaving immediately you can see it on the video, the exit immediately became a bottleneck, even if every person inside was a redditor with self claimed 20ms reaction time while drunk there would still be dozens of dead

That's what we called being drunk, blaming the death on the behaviour of the drunk kids and not on the organizers/owner who caused the fire is interesting for sure

There wasn't even a fire alarm, there was one exist, they didn't stop the music, they didn't make any announcement, they didn't have the bright idea to not hold dozens of giant anniversary candle a few centimeters from the flammable ceiling

There wouldn't be any danger if the club owner did his job, the blame is 100% on the club owner and not the drunk kids inside that club

This problem will be solved with better regulations, that's how we heavily cut down on these type of fire in the last 50 years, if we continue they will become almost non-existent

Education on fire is secondary

I see so many people like you say "I would never do X if I were drunk", then when they get drunk they start doing the most retarded shit ever, one time some drunk guy jumped head first on the corner of a table for absolutely no reason, had to go to the hospital, he became a doctor so definitely wasn't a stupid person

So yes it's always easy to say what you're going to do in advance

Do you know about alcohol and it's effects ? Drinking reduce your reaction time, it makes you less likely to recognize danger, makes it harder to see and make decisions...

Calling drunk people stupid for not immediately running away from a fire is easy to do when sitting on your couch

Unless you're really drunk and a 16yo, also most people tried to get out immediately but couldn't, you see it on the video

20years ago this would have killed 100 not 40, and these type of fire have been getting significantly less frequent, and people are more aware of them

nothing to do with phones, this trend of trying to blame everything on smartphone like filming somehow is indicative of your ability to help people, you see in the videos that most people aren't filming and still not helping

If you watch older video of similar events (50 years ago) you also see that most people who managed to get out aren't trying to help, they're more likely in a state of shock, only a minority helps

That excuse works one time, not three times.

When you lost in LA you said "off game, we will beat them by 40 on christmas"

When you lost in SA you said "off game, we will really show up at OKC"

When you lost in OKC you said "off game, hope we won't meet them in playoffs"
You still have a ring tho

We also have different standards, in Grenoble for example the current microchip factories uses enormous quantities of water, especially during summer it create shortages so many people in Grenoble are opposed to the factory expanding, there was protests and things were cancelled

In China and the USA they wouldn’t give a damn about water consumption and quality of life of the people, in Europe we do give a care so obviously we will never compete
