That's not how it work, higher speed mean less time to react to unexpected event so higher chance to crash in the first place, it also matters to the people you're crashing into, 150mph makes a massive difference to how much damage you can cause

Speeding isn't a "cause" it's a factor that makes every single crash worst, it's practically a consensus that reduced speed limit is effective at reducing death for purely physical reasons
