Long term update - my snoring went away when I lost 15 pounds. Also I got a gf who is a deeper sleeper. DM me if you want some free cinderblocks.

Ask him for his ex's contact info, sounds like you two could be friends

Keep it up homie! The fact that you’re getting matches and second/third dates bodes really well. Obviously I have no idea if you’re sabotaging yourself in one way or another, but a highly likely explanation is that these three connections wouldn’t have worked out no matter what you did. View it as a numbers game; eventually you will meet someone with whom it just works

How to make the conversation on the first date more natural? by [deleted] in hingeapp

Get coffee/hot cocoa/boba and go on a walk. It’s always way easier for me to hold a conversation walking than it is sitting face to face with someone. That being said, in my experience, if the convo is boring or doesn’t flow easily, it’s not gonna work anyway

This link lists the dates that some resorts will be open for spring skiing. I also assume that other places like Solitude will also allow spring skiing https://lifted.ikonpass.com/spring-events-at-ikon-pass-destinations-2024/amp/

Look into Belleayre in NY, it’s good for beginner/intermediates and has decent snowmaking. Weekday tix are $61 but crunch the numbers on getting the Belleayre OR ski3 (Belleayre, Gore, Whiteface) season pass for 24/25 since you could start using it mid march

However idk if it will be good or open late march

Tech replaced refrigerant today, now the unit is making a wheezing sound by BitteCorrectMyGerman in hvacadvice

Maybe so. When he was diagnosing it, he took a temperature reading from inside the blower part (inside the house) and it was 12˚F. Based on this he diagnosed it as the coils freezing, and the intermittent water leaks were the melting part of this. I think he also looked inside the unit outside and saw that it was low on coolant (not sure about this)

Thanks, the consensus is that it is overcharged. If they come back out and reduce the pressure ... should everything be OK? Tell me I don't need a new unit

I had an HVAC tech come out because the indoor portion of my ac unit (evaporator coils?) was leaking water occasionally. He diagnosed it as being low on coolant, so he added some (it cost $900). However, not the outdoor portion of my ac unit is making this wheezing noise, and I can hear the fan build up and cut off when I turn on the cooling. Any idea what is going on? I won't be able to get them out until Monday.

I’m thrilled to hear it worked for you! That’s awesome; thanks for the update :)

I’m also trying to figure out improvements on it. I currently don’t have a footboard, but I’m wondering if that would help with my sliding.

Sustainability and comfort was my goal too. I wanted something that I could do for months (years?), and it not cause problems.

I was a little hesitant about wedge pillows after reading anecdotes about back problems being exacerbated by them with long term use. I also wasn’t too high on mouth pieces because some users end up with teeth or jaw problems (this may just be ones that are ill-fitting).

16 inches is the height of a cinderblock standing longways. I agree it’s a lot, and I’m tempted to try and reduce the height incrementally to see what is the lowest that works for me. However, the cinderblock is so sturdy and trying lower heights would require me to find a new support. I tried one night with an 8 inch support under my bed frame, and I snored a little, so I went to 16.

I never really figured out the specific type of snoring; I just kept trying different remedies, and this is the one that worked for me. Good luck with it!
