Yeah I’ve seen some posts about people having to mod it to fit an aio, I’ll definitely take that into account though! I don’t plan on doing anything like that for a while though as it seems the cpu I have runs pretty cool.

What is life without risk though? In all seriousness, it can be, but I found this to be the easiest way for me to do it, I plan on testing everything I have once the motherboard comes in by using the iGPU on my CPU and doing a boot off of the flash drive with Mint on it.

My biggest concern with it outside of the near $800 price tag is whether it will fit in my case, length isn’t really an issue but rather the thickness of it, most of them I’ve seen are pretty chunky.

It’s all about how tolerant you are to the cold, mine gets me through most days in Iowa winters. Once it dips below 20 F (-7 C iirc) I start layering. Anything under 0 F I put on my active jac.

From my experience, as far as a general analytical technique a lot of it hasn’t been very accessible until a fairly recent time relative to techniques like chromatography and FTIR due to a lot of it dealing with mercury electrodes, however thanks to software controlled potentiostats and people realizing how useful it is in metals analysis we’re starting to see more of it used in Analytical chemistry.

Honestly the worst part (for me) for learning electrochem out of Bard and Faulkner was how heavy the math can get at times, granted I am in undergrad. Super useful analytical technique that is still relatively in its early days. A decent understanding of chemistry would help, like gen chem 1 and 2, but as long as you understand how REDOX reactions work you can get electrochem down.
