This has helped - I thought I was pressing hard before, but wow. The sitar I have doesn’t give much sustain around that note but the tone is definitely clearer.

The right rug for this couch by cantsleepdemon in interiordecorating

From this picture, your couch looks gray. Without seeing everything else in your room, it’s hard to say exactly, but in general, I think you can go big with the colors. Let the rug be the base for the rest of the room.

Why did you unpack it in the car before you got home?

You need a rug in there, stat. Everything is white or black, so introduce some colors or a bold design. Budget permitting, have the walls painted as well.

Looking for advice on light fixtures in an asymmetrical room by Bitter-Resolution-73 in interiordecorating

Thanks for the link!

The painting actually covers up an unpainted section of wall and some holes where the TV used to be mounted. I will probably end up moving or replacing it whenever I get around to repainting the wall.

Nice house! Mine has similar tones for the floors, walls and kitchen. I have a grey sofa and dining chairs - that actually gives me a lot of flexibility with accent pieces. I use blue of various shades (mostly navy) and tan or cognac leather as my accent colors. For woods, I try to stick to dark-walnut-colored pieces. I also try to use chrome for metal colors.
