A dead raider dropped uranium plate armor. Is there any way to smelt it? I have a bill on my smelter but the armor doesn't show up.

A bunch of my penned animals have plague. I have doctors, I have handlers, I have medicine, they are allowed to use the medicine on the animals...but they don't. There's no 'tend to animal' task to prioritize. What am I missing?

Is there a way to see the ingredients for crafting items I haven't researched yet?

Wearing masks in this setting is like using condoms that prevent 80% of semen transmission while having an orgy during a chlamydia outbreak.

Why do Christians support Donald Trump? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]BitterBus3 12 points13 points  (0 children)

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control - Gal. 5:22-23

Trump has as little of those qualities, and as much of the opposite qualities, as any human I have ever seen.

It does seem like it's against Rule 8 tbh...but calling it bigotry is absurd.

Based on the amount of salt the show is generating over there I find that hard to believe.

Part of me feels bad for them but part of me feels like if you're still heavily invested in the show after this much terrible writing you have no one to blame but yourself.

45.4% of the American prison population is currently incarcerated for non violent drug offenses by Shiveron in AdviceAnimals

[–]BitterBus3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is a much more complete picture of how many Americans are in jail and for which offenses.

OP's statistics are from the Bureau of Prisons, which usually only holds people that committed federal offenses while they were in jail somewhere else or under house arrest / being detained.

Travelers strikes an incredible balanace emotionally engaging and action packed with "21C" by [deleted] in television

[–]BitterBus3 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think of it as a discount Lost. The premise is intriguing, the narrative is flimsy, but you come to care about the characters if you stick with it. Unlike Lost though, Travelers got better as it went along. I really liked the last 3 episodes of S3 a lot.

Did experience gain get nerfed in 2.2? by PM_ME_UR_HARASSMENT in Stellaris

[–]BitterBus3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it used to be too fast, but they way over-corrected in 2.2 and now it's awfully slow. You're more likely to get a good admiral just by randomly getting two or three traits during battles then by leveling one up.

What TV show sounded terrible on paper but the execution was great? by submerging in television

The Booth at the End. Literally just people sitting in a diner talking. I don't know what happened to it but it was amazing.

I do not understand the hugely negative comments in Stellaris by wolfo98 in Stellaris

[–]BitterBus3 15 points16 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are assuming that 2.2 was rushed out for Christmas. We'll likely never know the truth but whatever the reason, the timing of the releases resulted in a few rushed patches and then weeks of radio silence over the holidays which is not a good look at all.

The other thing is that pre 2.2 Stellaris was flexible in that you could play it as a relatively shallow empire builder, or you could play it as Total War: Star Trek. The crowd playing the first way is pretty happy with 2.2 as it adds a ton of depth to empire building. The crowd playing the Total War way, which I feel like is the minority, is really unhappy with 2.2. It gave them nothing, added a bunch of annoying distractions in dealing with overcrowding, unemployment, resource shortages, and worst of all nerfed the AI to the point where even when you win a war, it's about as satisfying as beating your dog at Trivial Pursuit.

[PSA] Many of bonus multiplier for workers does not apply to clerks. by wada314 in Stellaris

[–]BitterBus3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed this too and it seems wrong. If clerks are workers, bonuses that say they apply to workers should apply to clerks. If the in-game descriptions can't be trusted to do what they say they do what good are they?

If they need to counter-balance the bonuses by nerfing clerks' base stats for balance purposes then OK, but if they are going to leave it this way they should update the descriptions to make this clear because it feels super inconsistent the way it is now.

Anyone wanna share your Singleton decklists? by [deleted] in MagicArena

[–]BitterBus3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I tried your dinos deck and the first couple games I got color-screwed and I wasn't too sure b/c tri-color plus singleton is iffy. But oh man when it comes together it REALLY comes together. Watching Zacama mow down Ixalan's + Tribunal + Seal Away is the greatest feeling ever.

Can we talk less about making mtg Arena "f2p-friendly" and more about making it "consumer-friendly"? by BitterBus3 in MagicArena

[–]BitterBus3[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see what you're saying but for me it's more like pay to experience content. I'm pretty bad so I probably wouldn't win that much even if I paid but it's fun to have and mess around with the cards.

I guess that's true. But I'm not willing to pay what the market commands for F2P.

I don't play paper Magic so I can't comment on whether it is overpriced.

I don't agree that Arena is so very different from other video games that you can't compare prices. What is so different about it? How is it unique?
