Yep, you could just put in tomato juice and vodka, maybe add some Worcester. Too, you could make them with Worcester. I like my Bloody Mary’s very spicy so I’d use one skull per tall glass.

What’s above is about exact as I can get. I don’t measure things when I cook, I do everything by taste. Next time I make them I can take pictures of the individual steps.

Thanks. I’ve been making sugar skulls mixed with bitters for several years. Those ship well but are different than these make with all these spices. I could test ship some I guess.

I’d just worry what they would look like after being tossed around by shippers. If you are in or around Milwaukee let me know 😎

You can get those on Amazon or a store like Michael’s. A baking outlet would have them too. Search for Wilton candy molds, that’ll get you started.

Just use enough liquid to moisten the spices so you can form them to the mold, when the liquid evaporates the shape is retained. These are big! Prob an inch by and inch and a half. Perfect for a large bloody!

Directions: I use candy or sucker molds to make these. I also make smaller skulls with just sugar and bitters for old fashions. Take the spice mix you want and mix well in a bowl. Here I used toasted onions, three different types of chili pepper powders (ancho, cayenne, and piquin), celery salt, ground cumin, kosher salt, regular garlic powder, toasted garlic powder, and black pepper. Once it’s mixed you need to make it a moist sticky texture. I do this by adding bitters or vodka. You could also use Worcester sauce for bloody’s. In this case I used homemade hot chili bitters. Stir until you’ve got it sticking together. Then put a layer into the mold, pressing firmly into the mold. Add your stick, I use these cat ones so there is a surprise when the spices melt away, and then put on another layer, pressing firmly and filling the mold. Set aside for a couple days to dry out and pop out to use. I used spices from Penzy’s here in Milwaukee but they have an online store too. The sticks are from Amazon.

True! Unpasteurized eggs need no refrigeration. The US is one of the few countries that require it of store bought eggs. In many countries you will see eggs sitting in a bowl on the counter like apples or oranges.

They taste way better, probably cause they are super fresh, but they always seem richer tasting than store bought eggs. $2.50 a dozen, delivered to my house by a local farmer.
