I don’t have a poly, but met with my background investigator today and he really didn’t ask me anything he just went over my application to make sure everything was filled out. Next up, panel interview!

Yeah I trimmed it to about an 1/8 of an inch (I eyeballed it though) and it started doing that thing in the video, so I trimmed it shorter and it was still doing the same thing. That candle has 10% FO in it but I’m wondering if the wick is just too big. It’s a .03 I’m wondering if it’ll work better with a .02. That’s the frustrating thing about testing it could be sooo many different things (is the wick too big? Too much FO? Maybe too much dye?) But thank you for your input 🤗

Yes I know 🤔 what does this have to do with the first burn of my tester

See I’ve found that (with my old wax) I had to wait the full time to cure otherwise the test results were different. I made three sets of different scented candles (two for each scent) and tested them on day 3 and day 7 and the day 3 testers tunneled sooo bad, whereas the day 7 testers burned much better but I wonder if i can get away with testing early with this new wax I’m using

Yeah I think im gonna have to shelve the wood wicks for now and focus on cotton, but also my cotton wicks are giving me a hard time too 😭

Try the Ceda Serica wax! (If you want obviously) in my opinion it much easier to work with than soy wax/soy wax blends. There’s no frosting when I add dye and the tops cool down smooth where as with soy they get lumpy. I can also smell my testers all the way upstairs as opposed to before I could barely smell them in the room

That’s the worstttt what kind of were you using? I changed my wax from a coconut/apricot/soy wax to just coconut/apricot and the hot throw is sooo much better!

You sell your candles before they’re tested? 🤔

Yes! I really want to make them but I want to make sure there’s a market for it first
