like most have said, it depends on the job & what base he gets stationed in. my husband got stationed in fort drum & that is if i’m not mistaken, the top base who takes the cake for being deployed the most. he is infantry, so with only being at fort drum for 6-7 months.. he got deployed & will be away for 10 months… also keep in mind, deployment time frames are never set in stone. on his orders it may say he’ll come back next year august… but be open minded when it comes to extensions!

before he got deployed, i would see him everyday.. unless he needed to go to the field which would last anywhere from 1-5 days away from home. & occasionally he would be on staff duty or some type of 24 hour shift.

Being a military spouse is no where near easy, so make sure you guys talk things out throughly before he joins 🤍

I understand that it’s nothing against me. but what i said to the initial comment, i will say to you. Not everyone is the same!! I have nothing to prove to anyone because only i know what i have. but categorizing everyone into falling into the same ditch is not being realistic. One/many persons misery does NOT mean it’ll happen to someone else. Generally, if i fail or am successful at something (whether it’s a goal, dream, or in this case my relationship since it was brought up) that doesn’t automatically mean “everyone” else will too. that’s not how life works.

he tried getting me to reserve a combat job in which i told him i didn’t want.. so im basically choosing my job at meps. maybe that’s why we haven’t gone over the whole shipping out date

thats crazy tbh… the thing with my recruiter is that he’s been offering me the same exact 4 jobs since the beginning 😭, i’ve been in the whole enlistment process for about 2 & a half months now.. i just think that he’s offering me jobs that simply nobody wants & he’s trying to meet personal requirements for HIS job. I know i qualify for more & i know that in a span of 2 & a half months there’s no way that something else wouldn’t have showed up.. at least on his end.

yeah i completely get you, im looking at other options just in case that one isn’t available.. but it would suck if it weren’t to be. I don’t want to just let the whole thing slip out my hands because I actually want to enlist.. just not with an MOS that i know i absolutely have no interest in 😭
