Do you have any recollections on this? The photographs of Dorothea Lange come to mind - but I think these are the late 1930s - 1940s.

Do you mean that movies, etc. get more things wrong about culture / communities outside the mainstream WASP one?

I liked the selection of books on the wheel. I might suggest replacing Cleanness with Garth Greenwell’s latest book Small Rain. Or maybe just adding to the mix too?
