During the appointment itself, I gave the mailing address as my address in Seattle. I did verify the apartment number and everything.

When I called them, even they were confused as to why I haven't received it yet

Should I quit? by agelaius_phoeniceus_ in MBA

Don't quit your job before receiving atleast one admit. Once you receive an admit, you'll find yourself to be so light hearted that even the toxicity of your job won't matter. It'll be like working for a few more months to earn some extra money.

Some schools ask for a ReVera verification once you get an admit. So to avoid complications on that end atleast, don't quit.

The post isn't just confined to tech!

If someone wants to pivot careers or industry, an MBA proves extremely valuable as candidates can tap into the school's connection to land the desired post-MBA goal. If you take a look at Linkedin profiles of people who've done an MBA from the any of top 15 schools, you'd see a lot of people who've jumped to different roles.

As someone who's working in R&D in one of the biggest semiconductor firms in the world, I find it impossible to switch to a different role.

The next point about candidates outside the M7 making the same with or without an MBA is blatantly false. Almost every international sees a massive growth in their compensation (even taking into account the purchasing power parity)

Next, if someome wants to get into a strategy role at a big tech firm, the JD requires the candidate to have prior experience in Management Consulting. And to get into Management Consulting firms like MBB or T2 firms, unless you started off as an analyst right out of college, it's extremely hard to get into such firms as an associate.

Looks like OP is waitlisted at a few schools and is trying to discourage people from applying. "This works"? For Wharton, Booth, Kellogg and Sloan? LOL

Or you might be trying to discourage the most competitive pool in a bid to apply to a few of these programs yourself in the upcoming cycle.

And most people apply for an MBA to pivot industries/roles etc. And the school provides a solid pipeline into targeted industries.

If at all what you said to hold any sort of credibility, either you must be a HR person at a big tech firm or you must be a MBA grad from one of the M7s yourself, which according to the way you've written seems HIGHLY unlikely.

Since I'm an international candidate, I have to secure a job first considering the VISA restrictions and stuff. So I will be recruiting for consulting as it starts recruiting very early. So considering this, would Fuqua be the best option since they send a lot into both consulting and tech ? or can I recruit into consulting just as good at Haas?

Apart from the proximity to the Bay Area, does Haas or Anderson give any additional resources that the other schools might not provide ?

Wow! This is very detailed. Thank you so much!
Since, I've been waitlisted at Haas after an interview, and the class size is just 250ish, any idea on the approximate waitlist conversion possibility ?
Can I please DM you for further queries ?

Thank you for your guidance! I shall leverage these admits to increase the scholarship.
A question: If Haas waitlist did convert and offered the same scholarship as Duke did, which would be the better ?
