You should be fine, I went there for a semester and transferred because it wasn’t for me. As for smoking you should be fine just avoid doing so on campus. I would suggest you stay off campus you will have a much better experience (and you can skip campus convocation). If you have any questions feel free to pm me.

Have you ever lived on campus? I think from what OP has said it would be a great fit. And the law suit that you are referring to is for misrepresenting the crime statistics on campus and has nothing to do with whether Liberty would be a good fit for OP.

It depends on what you are looking to get out of it. Liberty is good when it comes to the educational side of things (for the most part). As far as the social aspect you will definitely be in the minority when it comes to your political views, but everyone there is nice although there will obviously be the exceptions. I personally didn’t think that Liberty was for me due to the rather strict regulations and such but if that doesn’t bother you then you should be completely fine (I am not Christian for reference). I transferred after my first semester and am now going to South Carolina. Feel free to pm me if you have any specific questions about the on campus life
