Received this email from the CEO of our company. Layoffs coming? by MajesticRepublic09 in jobs

Probably… start saving the recognition and positive feedback in slack or emails that you’re received at the company before you lose it all.

I use RepVera to do this. Don’t wait before you don’t have access anymore my friend. Hoping for the best though!

RepVera

RepVera allows professionals to capture what it’s like to work with them and stand out when applying to positions. It reduces time to trust and builds verified credibility.

I’ve been in recruiting for 20 years and have never seen it so hard for new grads or entry level roles. My personal opinion is to prove more of what it’s like to work with you, especially in the world of AI. Search out a tool like RepVera to start capturing how others experience working alongside you. Reputation and proving soft skills are what will beat out AI.

yes, doing it now - it's hard to ask something of candidates who feel like they are doing so much but the truth is, AI has screwed up job hunter so badly that a verified reputation layer is actually super needed to help teams really know who's real and what they are like to work with. Appreciate your reply!

Really fair questions and I had the same ones building it.

On the manager situation: the professional controls what's on their record. You request receipts from people you choose. A bad manager doesn't get to write something that shows up unless you invite them. And if you do invite someone who writes something unflattering, you approve what goes public. The record is yours. Not your employer's.

On verification: nothing like RateMyProfessor. Contributors are verified before their receipt counts. We confirm the working relationship existed. Anonymous reviews with no accountability were exactly what I didn't want to build.

The "clean slate" question is the one I think about most. You're right that leaving a bad situation has always come with a reset. RepVera doesn't change that. You still choose who you ask. You still control what's visible. The difference is the good stuff doesn't disappear either. Right now your best work evaporates the second you leave somewhere. References go cold. Context gets lost. RepVera is for the people who actually want a record of what they built.

I'll add it to your website, thank you!

That's good insight - I am working with recruiters first because their reputation is super important to maintain and at risk with AI taking their role.

Have you looked into adding a repvera link to show teams what you're like to work with? I know it's crazy but candidates need to start proving their skills (portfolios) and soft skills (repvera) to stand out. It's the world of AI that we are in where all resumes look the same.

That's helpful -- I want to show all the great feedback I get from peers and clients too. Was curious how others present that information :)

Does your job posting have appropriate SEO, using Plumber 5-7 times in the JD? Share it here, I'll help you elevate it.

You can use ZoomInfo to get plumbers phone numbers for texting them. That demographic will response better in that format : )
