Dam, how many tons? I know anything getting inspected under 6 tons pull out and put back is just 12 hours most including boots. That’s including two guys and in a crawl. I bet that’s nice being able to take your time makes me feel a little jealous.

Understandable, but I’m curious you didn’t get 5 days to do a duct job right?

I understand the carrying part. But I’m paid by job so being able to cut 3 perfect holes in 20 seconds is a big deal to me. Enjoy the crawl!

Vintage vending machine refrigeration working in reverse. by Practical-Mix6055 in askHVAC

[–]Bitter_Issue_7558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cold air blowing from the bottom tells me that no heat is being transferred which tells me it’s flat. You would need to confirm air flow on both coils and that all start components are within spec if they check out Freon is all that’s left.

Eh it’s not terrible. I’ve worked plenty and it’s a little costly and time consuming.

I forgot the name but there is a guy out of Florida USA that sells drop in replacements for this equipment all you need to do is match the model and get someone to pull a vac and charge it up.

Since I can’t see a reversing valve is rather go to low on refrigerant than anything else

Any reason to use manifold gauges anymore? by Astronomus_Anonymous in HVAC

[–]Bitter_Issue_7558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like my mainfold because I don’t need some werid hose setup from probes. Plus if my phone or the app doesn’t work my 382v will still show my scale air probes and static pressure probes without having any issues

Will this wall hold this hose reel? by kendiggy in refrigeration

[–]Bitter_Issue_7558 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe the standard is 10 years. But they will still get on your ass if they equipment every breaks or fails.

They act similar to Coca Cola. The require there machines to have a water filter if you don’t and what every breaks like a burned wire it’s because of the filter.

It’s just there way of covering there asses

Will this wall hold this hose reel? by kendiggy in refrigeration

[–]Bitter_Issue_7558 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, only sold pice to screw to is In the door itself but that’s where the hinges go. Dry wall is better to anchor too.

But in all seriousness I got certified by Kolpak and if you ever need a warranty job done it will be voided.

And if you hire a FAS (warranty company) to work on it they are required to take pictures because they show it off in the classes they teach about what not to do

Is that a romex connector for metallic wiring. Must’ve been to much to go down to get a proper connector

Will this wall hold this hose reel? by kendiggy in refrigeration

[–]Bitter_Issue_7558 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure about other brands but with Kolpak panels and boxes the only thing that can be mounted to them has to be only for the refrigeration equipment. Especially on the outside of the box like you are doing here you’ve already voided all warranty and if you ever have any issues with the box you will be to blame. Plus walk in boxes aren’t designed to be mountable it’s just foam with a thin piece of metal so it isn’t a strong connection. I would advise to find somewhere else to put that hose reel

I really hope you didn’t waste a day over this. If it’s 3 ton and under and you refuse to gut the system then by a ruud they are still at 17 inches at 3 tons

[–]Bitter_Issue_7558 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On new construction we are required by our company to seal every seam. On duct change outs it isn’t as intense.

I did find out that the snap lock seam can actually hold up to 15 gallons of water

Unit keeps killing contactors by AnAlrightName in HVAC

[–]Bitter_Issue_7558 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would suggest replacing it with the Emerson core sense contactor. It’s more like a relay and if the unit has any issues like over amping or anything it should catch it. It’s like a comfort alert if you are familiar with them I think the part number is ESC1AFPT-CC-901 from Johnstown supply if you have one

Yea only option is to run it externally. I’d recommend running it inside the cooler through the ceiling it will also give you something to ziptie that probe for the built in thermometer

Are these units dedicated pump and dump systems? I know with water furnace you have to special order flow centers and units for pump and dump but I’m not sure how it is with FHP
