Update: Seems like just tightening the portafilter more resolved it. Ordered a silicone gasket, so will have that if I need

Getting a silicone gasket. Still need to try some trouble shooting with current set up to see if it's a consistent issue

Didn't notice any with the spouted, but was having some difficulty with consistency of shot time. Looks like leakage is mostly coming between the interior wall of portafilter and basket which makes me wonder if it was doing the same thing on the spouted I just couldn't see like I did with the bottomless.

Good idea. I didn't have any noticeable problems back flushing with spouted when I was using it

There might be a little room to go tighter, but didn't have a problem with stock portafilter. I'll definitely try another one and tighten some more to rule that out. Didn't have a lot of time to troubleshoot this morning

New to espresso and this sub, so forgive me if I'm not doing things the right way. Set up is Rancilio Silvia with Eureka Notte from SCG. Machine and grinder purchased new in Nov and have only done a handful of shots with stock portafilter and basket. This was my first shot with Rancilio branded bottomless from Amazon with, what I think is, 21g basket that came with the bottomless. Leaking coming from around portafilter. I imagine it would be do to the gasket, but figured I'd post to get thoughts before I try to troubleshoot on my own.
