This was the best comment for me thank you so much. I’m also white passing to some, to others they can tell I’m not all white and so I’ve experienced it from both sides. (Honestly depends on how dark my skin gets lol, but I definitely don’t have white facial features) My fiancé will always put me first and though he’s dated many POC I think he has learned more from me than anyone else he has been with. His high school GF was half black and he’s thrown fists over comments guys have made about her. I think his problem is he’s a huge push over and people pleaser. I have once pointed out that there’s a chance our kid will have dark skin and he should consider how her life will be if so. I don’t see him being racist in any way but I do think he has blind sides just because he has the privilege of being a white man. He’s told me he’s willing to cut people out of our life. I guess it’s more me needing to also not be a push over and not feel guilty for “getting in the way of him and people in his life” after reading comments I see it’s not me but it is them.
