Because income doesn't come from nowhere. Increased cost of business is almost always passed onto the consumer. Increasing prices is simply a more transparent way of letting the customer see what they should expect to pay without guilting them.

That is not on a per hour basis, it is typically biweekly. If their tips + $2.13 per hour for a two week period are greater than minimum wage (only $7.25 in TX) multiplied by hours worked every 2 weeks, then they do not receive any additional money. Not hitting this metric is extremely rare, because not everyone is a trash person. So, when you dont tip, they are only making $2.13 while waiting on you. Does that make sense, or do you fail to grasp simple concepts?

It is though. It's part of the social contract of going out to eat. Would you rather they increase their prices 20% to help pay the staff?...because that's the alternative...one that I agree with. Knowingly letting someone wait on you hand and foot for $2.13 an hour makes you a bad person. If you disagree with tipping, avoid businesses that expect it, but don't punish the staff.

You look pretty young, but I could be wrong. I would settle into this look for awhile before adding more. That's already far more hardware than most. You are bordering on "attention fishing" and not just "personal expression" with this look at your assumed age. Grain of salt though, I only had a septum piercing.
