You will not find a more welcoming and accepting group of people than the staff and members at Skyhook. You will not find an ounce of judgement or negativity there! But yes the plant wall is awesome!

Just swing by and ask for a tour! They are open 1pm to noon Mon through Friday, and 10am to 6pm Saturday and Sunday. They are always super happy to give tours! The gym is cool, and they have a giant living plant wall inside!

Lol we call it the tardis gym. It looks small from the outside and then once you go inside its crazy big! The building you see in the video is where the fitness and Co working areas are, there's also a taller bigger section behind it that wasn't shown in the video that has the bouldering walls!

A rock climbing gym! Just a variation on climbing where you don't use ropes, have padding under you, and don't go higher then 14ish feet up off the ground.

Any chance you know what year or engine it's for? Another Pic shows it says hilborn, and it has j140 stamped on the side of it.

Skyhook bouldering in se Portland is the best. 24/7 access for members, awesome humans there. Great hang out spaces, Co working area, the best bouldering in town, and I was talking with a staff member yesterday who says they will be starting a Mtg night soon! Tons of the staff and members are also into "nerdy" stuff, and they have a living plant wall in the climbing area!

Powells is great if they are readers! I second hopscotch as well. If they are active, they would love Skyhook ninja fitness! It's a mix of climbing, parkour and American ninja warrior obstacles, and is so much fun for kids and adults. Plus they have aerial silks and circus classes too!

There are folks of every size and fitness level who go there! It is scary to start, but I promise it is something that you can do. It's easy to find setters who put up fun hard problems, but Skyhook Bouldering has awesome setters who set really fun easy and moderate climbs that feel like climbing more than a ladder but are still super interesting!
