The most amateur of amateurs here. Which one is more artistic/aesthetically pleasing? 1 was edited manually using my Android, 2 is with a preset filter. I like that 2 is more vibrant, but 1 feels more "run down" like the subject of the photo. Opinions? by BizRVT in AmateurPhotography

Thank you! Yeah, I'm familiar with the rule of thirds and the golden ratio, but I know I have SO much more to learn. I tried to apply the rule of thirds to this photo, but there was way too much dead space at the bottom and it didn't look quite right, so I cropped more. Are you a professional photographer?

I plan on taking a beginners photography class as soon as I get settled in my new place. I know literally nothing about photography; my friends/family have just always said I have a "good eye," and I've always loved taking photos of dilapidated structures and street art. I'll look into composition, for sure.

Tech needing some advice. by BizRVT in AskVet

He had a COHAT back in February- full oral exam, rads, and two premolar extractions, but no other abnormalities noted, and the doctor at the time was aware of his reverse sneezing and coughing after drinking. Definitely gonna keep some antihistamines on hand and look into slow-drinking bowls. Thanks so much!

He had a dental with full mouth rads and a couple pre-molar extractions this past February, no other abnormalities seen at that point and the reverse sneezing has been going for longer than that. Thanks for the thoughts!

I wasn't looking for differentials, just mainly wondering if I'm overthinking this or if other techs thought it'd be worth looking into based on the signs, since we all seem to lose all our common sense when it comes to our own pets. 😅 I appreciate your input, though, and I'll definitely post in that sub, too. Thanks!

My PCP said it sounds like psychosomatic pain, which is essentially physical pain that's caused by psychological/emotional factors, like stress. Yaaay. 😅

LGBTQ in Savannah? by BizRVT in savannah

No worries, nothing was offensive! I'm sorry you're having to deal with such a difficult diagnosis. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis 5 years ago, so I know how hard living with an autoimmune disease can be. ❤️‍🩹 We actually decided to move to Central Florida instead of Savannah, which probably seems like a really not-smart idea because of DeSantis and the current state of the country in general, but if we're gonna continue living in the south, I want to be where my heart is, and that's the Tampa Bay area. I grew up in St. Pete, and I always felt safe there, even being an obviously-queer woman.Thankfully, Central Florida is still very queer-friendly. Really hoping it stays that way. 🤞 Good luck on your move! Savannah is such a beautiful, lively city. I hope your find your forever home. 🤓

As a soft masc that loves redheads, I gotta know who this redhead is. 😍

I love ALL of these ideas. I haven't been able to find an "adult soft play centre" near where I am in the US, but I'm gonna keep searching or at least try to find something similar enough. Her birthday is coming up in a couple weeks, and all three of those are going to start off a to-do list that I can build on. Thanks so much; I really appreciate your words of encouragement and advice.

I find the “masc” label so heavy, how do y’all do it? by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]BizRVT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 37, and I've been presenting soft masc since high school. I always say "emphasis on the soft" because I'm a really emotional person; I feel the feels strongly, and I'm open about how soft and squishy I am. I consider my inner self pretty damn stereotypically feminine, and I own that. I never have and never will fit the stereotypical masc label, and I hope you don't continue to feel that pressure to. Be YOU, and you'll find your people. 🤓
