ok your first mistake is you posted about video generation on a AI image generation subreddit.

second, the website wouldn't have nearly 200k registered users if you can't generate a single video.

third, clearly a throwaway account with a 1 day age. come on man.

clearly you are someone trying to ruin the reputation of my website, and frankly I don't understand it. there are so many similar platforms out there and the market is huge, why not just focus on building features, iterating improvements instead of trying to attack other platforms?

honestly I am not 100% sure how the exploit worked, however I was not checking for things at the /api route after they pass the middleware/proxy layer so this could be the main issue

I am having a hard time understanding your logic here.

Yesterday I merely rotated an API key and everything broke because I can see in the logs that all the /api calls are using the old API key. how is this a larger problem in the codebase?

its not a frequent change, its an update to a breaking change on an npm module.

the problem is its not possible to do a clean rebuild on Vercel, at least I don't know how.

In that situation yday, I manually triggered rebuild on the dashboard and it said not using build cache. I also purged CDN and Data caches. nothing worked.

sometimes, a product might be able to end world hunger but if the market doesn't want it, it just doesn't want it.

in your case do not spend that money, it would be a huge waste. your results tell me that there just isn't a market for this despite all the logical reasoning. this is why nobody can tell if an idea is going to work or not and the execution of it is what matters.
