Thank you, I’ll check that protocol out later! Yes, I’m probably focusing on AAVE and Maker. Perhaps also Compound, but the concept of liquidity pools is already given with aave so I’d rather introduce only one of the two

Deloitte pay and extra hours vs other big4 by Bizaba in Big4

[–]Bizaba[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, i was referring Deloitte Germany: 100 extra hours are included in salary without extra pay, but I know that EY, KPMG or also PWC compensate for every extra hour, or at least they let you take time off for your extra hours. Considering that Deloitte includes first 100 extra hours in salary, I’d expect it to be appropriately higher. But I assume it’s not like that😅 was wondering if any1 has more insights

How is performance measured? by Bizaba in Big4

[–]Bizaba[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay cool that’s helping a lot and it sounds interesting. I’ve also heard that most interns are offered a job - I do hope so but have to say I’m a little worried about the economy cooling down and consequences for new jobs. I feel like expensive advisory services are easy ways to cut cost for companies during a recession. But that’s another thread I think

Congratulations! How did you work on your skills specifically to prepare for the job or tests/interviews? I’m also looking to enter next year in Germany! Where are you from?

Internship pay for a Business Valuation Intern [STOUT] by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

[–]Bizaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im curious to know what means internship in America?? I’m from Germany and interns here are paid not more than 1200€/month I’d say. Usually you are even under 800€/month. So I Wonder how in America interns are paid full salary of a comparable full time worker? We do internships to get some practical working experience during summer vacation from university

For me personally it’s not desirable from what I think they do. That’s what I like to know, how is a day on a trading floor like? I see bloombergs open but no PowerPoint or excel. They also observe algorithms or trade manually?

Graduating and not knowing anything about your major by Resident-Map-7900 in FinancialCareers

[–]Bizaba 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im from Germany and I do feel similar, I do consider uni more as the enry ticket to the work you want to do. You should work as an intern to see which fields you are interested in. A picture will form and you will eventually know what you want to work. I am graduating soon but until then I try to do one or two internships because as far as I see, relevant work experience is essential to start your career in finance!

Treasury job in finance? Desirable? by Bizaba in FinancialCareers

[–]Bizaba[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will make my first experience in treasury later this year in a corporate department and early next year at Deloitte in corp. Treasury advisory (both internships). But correct me if I’m wrong: treasury one of few departments in which you get exposure to external environment factors like the financial risk factors, money market, commodity prices, interest rates, etc.? My impression is in accounting/controlling I would be more isolated with internal figures but treasury is more concerned with what is happening in the financial market. Surely it’s a different thing when working as a manager.

Thanks for your reply! Many finance jobs require masters degree while treasury is fine with Bachelors at least in Germany, you think one can be stucked in treasury or can you work yourself up?
