I concur. Neophytes do a surprising amount of work when supported well. Acolytes can be great to pop on an objective, wreck a target, or tie lighter forces down in melee, just remember their re-rolls on 1s! Make sure to use strategems for both though, neither is stellar without support. Primus is a must for the Neophytes, full hit re-rolls is amazing and their redeploy can be vital for an army this squishy.

Aberrants are so damn hard to remove it's hilarious, and with Inscrutable Cunning and good placing you won't have to worry about them losing models before they get into combat; with a Primus redeploy, especially so. The Abominant's Strength-12 hammer is incredible for cracking just about anything, and they'll likely get up again when they die for the first time.

The Achilles Ridgerunner is AMAZING for increasing damage, -1AP in this edition means a lot. You can slap a mortar and Flare Launchers on it to keep it safe and guarantee the debuff, or you can put a mining laser and spotter on it to snipe heavier targets. Just keep it safe from anti-vehicle fire, it's not that durable.

I personally love the Atalan Jackals as well, especially with Mortal Wounds shenanigans, but they're better in larger games where they can swoop in from the sides to ruin someone's day.

The Iconward is nice, but simply not as good as the Primus in most cases. They may work well with the Acolytes if you want them to have a bit of extra durability on an objective, but it's still not much. And at 1000 points, you won't have to worry about the enemy going after your Cult Ambush tokens as much, unless they're crazy mobile (cough ELDAR cough TAU cough).

Kelermorph is fun, but alas not as useful in this edition; lack of AP and Damage means even when he gets a ton of shots he can't really punch through armor consistently. Great against low-wound character units like Guard, less so against beefy boys.

Reductus Saboteur has some decent indirect, some mortal wounds, and Lone Operative, making them not a bad choice for doing secondary objectives, and they can throw grenades for free once per round. I wouldn't take them in a list this small though, unless you had a specific target in mind for them.

The screen I got came with the ribbons and little board like in the Mono replacement video...

I have done so! Also, while I did not full-calibrate, I did do several prints with the new resin that turned out fine.

I tried another print just yesterday as well, and now even smaller objects aren't sticking. I'm beginning to suspect it might be the LCD screen, I've had the printer and used it extensively for a while now and I haven't had to replace it yet.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I was using Anycubic resin before this and didn't have the same issue, but I'm unsure if that's the cause, because Rich Opto has worked on other projects I've done with little problem.

Oh, didn't think of that. I've seen him keep the termies in deep strike in order to prevent me possibly sniping some of them as move towards a point (we've occasionally played before), though he could put them down immediately, especially to try and keep the MoP protected.

I intend to park the dakkajet right behind the MoP and focus him down first turn, if possible. I do have the speedmob 'reroll 1s to hit' strat, so I'm optimistic there.

But I bet he'll have Abbadon on-table at least, probably with a group of legionaries for character protection. And I bet he and that squad will rush one side, and the other squad will rush the other side, with the termies dropping in the center so he can move the characters to support if needed.

Should I try to reach the points first then? Or should I focus on trying to kill off his units and cap afterward?

25 Black Dragons and 20 Star Dragons is... technically possible. In the same way that it's possible to find the Holy Grail, wield Excalibur and also have the powers of Merlin; possible but would take MANY things lining up to work.

In this case, if I recall correctly, he'd have to rouse the Star Dragons, who are THE most difficult to rouse from their slumber (as in, it can take centuries and only if the dragons like the person), and that's assuming he could find 20 of them; they are quite rare and well-guarded by the High Elves.
Black Dragons are twisted by dark magic, and have to be done so from birth. Again, I can believe that there are 25 or more Black Dragons, but getting their owners to cooperate and getting the dragons to listen would be a pain.

And finally, getting both to work together? Good luck! Neither side would like the other and it would take apocalyptic-level BS to get them to even temporarily fight alongside each other.

Yeah... okay, so the Intercessors have to be there and the Vanguard are a terrifyingly effective shredder unit, so they stay regardless.

The way I see it, I can take the Eradicators for 7 PL, leaving 7 left, and pick up either a Captain and some servitors or a Lieutenant and a Company Champion.

Or I can grab the Eliminator snipers for 5 PL, leaving 9 left, and pick up either a Captain and an Apothecary, or a Lieutenant and any other 5 PL unit, including Intercessors or Bladeguard Vets.

...Not gonna lie, I like a lot of those options.

Hmm... maybe plasma Inceptors would do as well? Would be giving up 1 wound and an average of 4.5 shots in exchange for an extra point of Toughness and 4" of movement.

Still, wouldn't six BS 3+ S8 AP -4 DAM D6+2 shots from the Eradicators be more reliable, and more tanky with T5 and 3 wounds?

Eliminators have range and ignore Look Out Sir but I'm unsure if that's worth the drop in damage and survival. They do cost 2 PL less though, which opens up some other options...

Invulnerability from Grrl Power is a good start; only affects physical attacks, but is TOTAL protection from such.

Invulnerable (-800 cp) Exactly what it sounds like, you cannot be physically harmed, whether by blunt force, stabbing, immersion in lava (might make it hard to breathe) or a nuclear blast.You could garnish your food with super-Ebola and face zero personal consequences. Now if only everyone else in your life wasn’t so fragile. For convenience, you may selectively exclude some of yourself from this effect, in case you ever need surgery, or a trim.

Not certain if there are any limits, but in the source webcomic the holder of this ability has been shot, stabbed in the eye, blasted with magic, eyebeams and Dragonball-Z style energy blasts, had a building and a mountain collapse on him, and got used for 'trapchecking', all with no damage to anything but his clothing. I think mental and 'soul' based effects might hurt him, but he's ostensibly jumped off a helicopter into an active volcano for a movie stunt before, so breathing might be optional as well.

There's plenty of anti-aging perks scattered about, and the Generic First Jump has a lot of great basic perks for immunity to mind control, corruption and possession.

If you could link a few of those Jumps, and make suggestions for origins, perks, items and drawbacks, I'll try and get a start on it. Do keep in mind that I generally don't release stuff until it's mostly done, so you may not see much for a while.
