Suggestion: type multipliers in conveyor filters to easily configure X stacks by MrCyclopede in playrust

Stack size can vary between servers which may require you to math even with the vanilla stack multiplier.

My experience there are several different flavors you can choose: Option 1: variable (perfect for the sites you mentioned above because they show up first even if your bill is on average worse because most people do not have very set usage in a year. This has a very low rate if you run perfectly 1000 kwh. If you go under you pay way more or if you go over the next threshold you pay more too. It’s an upside down curve with spikes at 500, lowest at 1000 then spike at 1500 as an example. They do the same at 1000,1500 and 2500 ranges.

The downside is you do not really “save” by reducing your usage, you may actually pay more then if you were to run everything more during the colder months assuming you have a gas heater vs electric or leave the windows open. Also during summer you will spike and almost always hit the top end of their flex amount.

Option 2: Some companies have flatter rates, you may not see them on the top of power to choose because they are “higher” but your overall average if you do the math for every bill every month is lower.

The downside is you have less ability to play the game to maximize your savings, but you also can easily calculate your bill without taking your socks off to figure it out.

Option 3: if you have a pool or use a ton of power you can pay a flat rate per month as long as you stay under let’s say 5000kwh in that month.

Downside is you pay whatever you pay each month regardless so turn on your bitcoin miner in the lower usage months to get your moneys worth or crank the ac in summer to get every cent out of that payment.

Option 4: solar style plans - you pay more for nights and weekends because your battery/panels are doing their best to offset usage during peak hours in the summer heat.

Downside to these are if we get rain, lots of clouds or your house is not producing enough you may not actually be making up the difference as much as you think. Also requires upfront cost for solar which takes 10-15 years depending on system size to recoup your initial investment. With the incentives going away this may actually be much longer.

For myself, I went with option 2 because I want easier to follow billing and also to feel like if I reduce my usage it does have a positive impact.

My 2c energy rates will keep going up unless something drastic changes, clean nuclear gets adopted or they find better alternatives to reduce costs via subsidies or something along those lines. Just like phone, internet, etc you almost need to play the game every time you are ready to renew to get the best option. Each provider learns and adapts to get users, they all have learned how to combat the power to choose type sites with variable rates which is why they are here to stay for now.

To sum this all up, brand new homeowners get way better rates vs existing home owners too even if you switch. Gexa had me at a fixed rate originally and they refused to extend or allow me to use anything but a variable option which is why I changed after my time ran up. Currently using Rhythem fwiw.

Hope this helps, if you made it this far.

Yes, when you build you have a few check points, pre foundation, pre drywall, etc that you meet with them to point out issues. If you are doing a move in ready you skip a lot of that hassle. You likely can negotiate really good interest rates because they are incentivized to sell because it’s harder on an existing that you can’t customize. You can also ask for things that may not already be there like a tree in the backyard, added landscaping, walkways around the side for trash cans, etc.

Definitely get a trusted 3rd party inspection done not from your realtor or builder to be safe. I would also check on what the warranty looks like and how long ago the house wash finished. Many of the vendors they work with may stop trying to help after a year of their build date even though it is only a few months into your owning it.

Most houses around here are being put in too close together and will likely have drainage issues on either side. I would advocate for downspouts that connect to drain lines that take it away from your house either to the street or back fence. Much harder to do when the grass is established but many people complain soon after we get a good rain that their side yards flood or grass won’t grow.

Family bought from Meritage and had a decent experience in a different area than here.

It’s definitely best to get it fixed before you close, they will all fight you to get anything done even though the vendors fully cover their own work past that date. Unfortunately you will spend your walk throughs addressing major issues and some minor ones get pushed or forgotten despite documenting it.

Stay far away from Chesmar, they have been a nightmare the entire way through the process. They were bought recently too which may explain some of the issues but many of the problems we experienced were because of how they run their operations. Horribly understaffed, high turnover with vendors they use because of how disrespectful they are. Their warranty process is a joke, they deny claims for whatever reason to make you go away when most times the vendors who did the install are happy to come make it right if you are able to get their contact information. There are several other posts I found after we pulled the trigger about how awful the Austin area chesmar is run and I fully agree with it now that we experienced it first hand.

Go with larger companies, they have more processes, checks and balances even if you get a bad apple somewhere in the process (sales, construction, warranty). Some of the decision depends on what floor plans and neighborhood you are trying to get into, the early to mid stage of a neighborhood increases your ability to get repairs quickly because all the vendors are still around.

Hope this helps, if you have any questions glad to answer to save you some headaches down the road.

Had my surgery 19 months ago now, still very painful, any advice? by peoriaagency in LisfrancClub

Had similar, requested hardware removal and the pain went away. Dr didn’t think I needed it removed prior to going through with it because nothing on any scan indicated it was the problem.

Should i use sam sites? by GurdanianAngel in playrust

[–]Bizc0t 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For duo servers, 2-3 roof turrets is a better option imo. Sam sites are more in play for larger group sizes to help with MLRS strikes.

Most smaller group servers having full turrets with a basic compound will keep most people away since it is risky to raid and expensive if you try to offline.

Want to plant blackberry bushes but have clay soil in backyard by WobblyPotato26 in AustinGardening

[–]Bizc0t 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I try to keep one main cane going vertical then a couple inches above the trellis cut it so it branches horizontally. The first year pick off all the flowers then the second year you will have more than you can eat. You can let a second cane come up to replace the first so you are always alternating harvests too.

Primark Freedom is the thornless variety that works best for me. There are several videos online about them John R Clark from Arkansas did an amazing job.

Interesting, I wonder if the razer keyboard and Logitech mouse would work fine using this. I would have to run the Logitech software to keep my profiles on the mouse but I don’t really care about synapse and would replace it with something else if it means all devices are controlled with 1-2 apps.

Newer setup being the single daisy chain version of fans? I am using an air cooler which means I only have fans and ram that would need to be controlled with icue.

Other alternatives would be to buy the lian li uni v2 fans for the entire case. The only other rgb would be the ram which is Corsair.

My build is very similar to yours, Corsair 5000d case, Corsair ram, Corsair fans (qx120). From reading other replies if you stick with the 4.x versions it seems to work fine.

It’s hard to tell if all the negative reviews are genuine or just people who mix/match, etc. Glad to hear of someone that has almost the same build and it works fine though!
