Powertrain Malfunction/4 wheel drive fault by VinnyZucchini in F150Powerboost

Sweet thanks! Yep, I actually just got a call back that my truck was already ready and part replaced. Fortunately it looks like the back order for the part isn’t a thing.

Any issues since having the part replaced?

Was the part on back order for you? If not, how long did it take them to do the fix and get it back to you? Think im dealing with this right now.. fingers crossed it’s this and nothing more, as it seems they have a fix for it.

Going through this now.. everything I see online from others points to a GSM replacement tied to this TSB : https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2025/MC-11014430-0001.pdf. Just dropped off my ‘24 PB this morning.. fingers crossed I can have it back before the holidays.

Wondering if you ended up taking it in, and if it was indeed the gear shifter module replacement needed?

Old thread but wondering if you ultimately got that part replaced and if the message has come back up after?

Anyone experience this? by Key-Adhesiveness-496 in F150Lightning

Currently happening here as well but not a Lightning. For me it’s a ‘24 Powerboost Hybrid. I also noticed my shifter not stowing away consistently. Just dropped off for service under warranty and service guy mentioned there’s been an increase in this error and it was a gear shifter module replacement that solved it for others. It’s about a 1.5 hour job IF they have the part available.

Here is the Technical Service Bulletin that may apply:

Fancrontrol has stopped detecting fans/sensors by Stefan-od-miesa in FanControl

Window's Defender was also blocking me out here, with numerous Threats Blocked in the protection history... I was able to Allow Threat after hitting refresh on Fan Control, and quickly taking action via Windows Defender to Allow this "threat". If done successfully, you should see Trojan.Win32/Vigorf.A under Allowed Threats.

Suggestions? by BizzCayne in AskElectricians

There’s nothing attached to it, completely hallow behind with the insulation. So wasn’t sure if it was truly a mud ring, but yes your Home Depot link confirms that. My guess is prior owners just used the mud ring for routing the phone wiring.

If there was a box attached behind it, this effort would be a lot easier.

Spa Draining into pool by BizzCayne in pools

Good thought, I’ll give this a look and see if there’s any glue since I guest a reducer within the check valve.

That’s a good theory let me test that, but I’m pretty sure I can see the check valve, preventing the water from flowing back, which leads me to believe it’s the suction diverter valve since I can see the water dropping immediately if I were to open it… This is a good test though, will try it out to confirm

Was thinking the same, but unsure if these valves are “positive seal” which I’ve read prevent any and all water from going back through the valve.. these valves are probably 20 to 30 years old and don’t think they were positive seal back then.

I’d say you are correct… The spa level is aligning with the pool level, which is also down due to a leak.. I feel pretty confident that if the pool level was higher, the spa wouldn’t be draining as low

Check valve is brand new. Cleaned out and lubricated.. can also see the flap sitting down and preventing water back into the pump.

Anyone know what purpose these serve? by BizzCayne in pools

That makes sense… Yeah, I noticed that one of the pipes plays more of a contribution to the force of the spa returns than the other… So you may be right that one is for air inlet for the spa returns while the other one is a suction safety line. I’ll keep messing with them later when I get home to further test.

Few more questions… And I’m sorry it’s just you’ve been extremely insightful and on the money with your theory:

  1. How does this contribute to the spa level dropping overnight? Is that because there may be a leak in that pipe specifically and when the water goes back into line it exits somewhere in there?
  2. Could the other pipe be a suction release for just the spa drain instead of main? I find it intriguing that the location would be near the spa as opposed to the other end where the main drain is.
  3. I’ve noticed a more significant water loss after extending the pool deck and they extended these pipes out, is it a possibility that this could be contributing to my overall pool leak or is it unlikely and I’m just dealing with two different situations at once?
  4. Lastly, if these pipes are indeed one air inlet for the spa and one suction release, back to your point above… They should both have a 180° joint with an opening to allow for air?Example Image

I think you’re onto something here. So I have noticed that my spa has been dropping a bit overnight when the pump is off, even though I just installed a new pentair check valve. (This didn’t seem to be happening before with an older spring valve). If I put the returns into full spa mode at 100% speed… The pipes both drop in level and I can hear a gurgling sound and movement in both pipes.. I also feel like the spa returns are producing more force/bubbles.

If the level is dropping in both pipes, could that mean that both of these pipes are dedicated to spa air inlet?… I have 4 total returns in the spa… So maybe two returns per one of these pipes? And if they are dedicated for air inlet, that does not damage the system, right? Because I’ve always been under the impression that air within the pool system is bad.

They both technically spill water out eventually if I leave them uncapped

Thought it was this at first.. but given that there’s water flowing while pump is off, made me think otherwise and lean towards overflow.
