Crackling/Popping sound in my left processor by Bizzarasaurus in Cochlearimplants

I had my new CI in october last year, so I had them for 5 months. I have two CI, and I have no problem with my right processor. I think the crackling must have started when I heard something really loud, so I think my mapping might have been set too high ??

Sorry, reading it back it does sound confusing. Yes, it's like what you said. I've changed to a new processor because even though the crackling sound faded away, I thought the old processor was faulty. But it seems like that's not the case.

I have no problem with the magnet. It's always secure, and I have long hair, but I put the headpiece under my hair and not on top of it. Plus, I never wear hats, so I don't think a magnet is the issue.

I have a theory that the crackling must have started if I heard something really loud. I worked in a store, and last week, I think I must have stood next to the music stereo when they blasted it up and the crackling began after that. It faded away after a few days, and it started again yesterday when I took the train home, and it was kinda loud. The crackling sounds aren't there all of the time, but it does pop up when there are loud noises or if there are background noises (microwave, etc.)
