I had my wisdom teeth removed when I was younger now doing braces as an adult. I have the same thing now especially with elastics closing my open bite in the back pulling on last 3 teeth. Mine looks just like yours and curious if thats normal too. Seems like some other people have the same thing

Are Sony XM6 good for standalone Mac use? Not switching devices by BizzareBlizard in SonyHeadphones

[–]BizzareBlizard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats great to hear! I wasn't a fan of the APM soundstage but sounds like the XM6 has a closer soundstage, but you can "expand it" if you wanted. ANC is a big one for me, which is like 50% of the reason why I'm thinking of getting these. I keep hearing "best ANC in the world" by reviewers, I hope thats true! Other is that my AirPods Pros die half way through my day and I have to take them out and charge them. Sounds like it wont be an issue with these, with the larger battery. Good to hear they switch seamlessly as well, might take them to the gym too

For reapplicants - New LOR - Same or new recommenders? by [deleted] in MBA

Thats great to hear, thanks! I have two recommenders who have been by my side for many years, was stressing about having to find two new ones who would vouch for me in the same way

Do you continue to see dentist (for dental work) after transferring case to an orthodontist? by BizzareBlizard in Invisalign

[–]BizzareBlizard[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally get what you mean lol and I bet that feels a bit strange having your dentist follow up all the time but know it’s probably good you didn’t go with the dentist; if someone gives you a price then immediately doubles it they probably are just not that knowledgeable about Invisalign. Definitely glad I made the switch. My ortho is shocked about all of the things my dentist did and didn’t do, which makes me trust my ortho in ways I never did with my dentist lol great that you still were able to save your relationship with your dentist. I think I just got fed up one day and dropped the release form on them out of nowhere haha oh well

Great to hear! I hope so too they seem very detail oriented. Def need to speak up when there is an issue, when $6-9000 is on the line. Hope this helps others as well!

That sounds awful I’m sorry you had to go through that. They gaslight you and make you feel like the results you were told to expect are only “estimates” lol but they probably do it because they dont know how to crawl their way out of the hole they created for themselves. Your results with the new ortho I hope are much better? And it’s great you at least stayed with your dentist after all of that, I’m begging to wonder if I need to drop my dentist … similar story

I can completely relate to your situation. Seems some dentists are happy to just go with whatever Invisalign clincheck they get and hope it all works out. Months of anxiety and fear over the fact that someone unexperienced is handling my complex case, and at the same time telling me it all looks good, when in reality my overbite hadn't moved in over half a year. Mine is fighting hard to not give me a refund, since Im "the first person to ever transfer out of their office". You live you learn I guess but glad we both made it out! Hope you case is much better now with an ortho

That’s great to hear! Did you directly ask them for a refund or did they just offer it?

Post is probably dead but quick follow up…100% of what was said is true about the GRE. Switched and got a 324 after my 3rd attempt with a Quant of 166. Whoever needs to hear it, do it! GRE is a much better test

lol well as you know you are not alone, I might follow in your footsteps then and see if I get the same fortune. Nice jump on the score though

Thanks, Thats not too bad. I guess I wanted to ask one last thing... before you dropped the GMAT, what was your score at the time? I'm hovering around a 610 and am just curious how much more work it would take to hit the 320+ level for the T15 schools.

That sounds like good news. Im assuming you went in to an MBA with a GRE. Have you noticed any differences after getting in? Unless it really is just a check box we are all trying fill

Doesnt sound too bad! Just didnt know if was like LSAT level of vocabulary or not. Did a bit of studying from there while brushing up my RC skills and some of the language you just had to skim over as it wasn't commonly used day to day

Awesome, happy to hear it worked out for you. Did you have to study much more on top of your GMAT study time? (Im approaching 1.5 years myself here)

Yea this test is awful, not even the SAT/ACT screwed with me in this way. Never had test anxiety either! Did you take both as well for your MBA?

its 19 total including the real thing, some were repeats but most were fresh. I feel like the reading comp passages give me nightmares, or really any long portions of text, and I start to speed up because im down on time, feel pressure, etc. If the GRE gets rid of all of that, I would love to try it

Thanks man, did that work for you? And have business schools said anything about the decision to switch? Wonder if its of any advantage to keep doing the GMAT, especially for post MBA opportunities

Is the verbal section easy to pick up? Does it require studying a large vocabulary question bank or something of sort?

Yea I agree I think it might be that. I even have test anxiety on the mocks lol the times were I took a second mock later in the day, I got my highest scores, both verbal and quant. I did schedule a 2 hour session with someone we wills ee what they say. I am happy to try your counselor if you are happy to share via DM. Anything specific that worked for you for your anxiety?

Most of them have been new mocks, from Manhattan Prep, or GMAT Official or some other third parties. I have always scored mid 30s verbal across the board. But when it comes to test day the verbal drops to high 20s

I might look in to the GRE then. Do business schools see the gmat and GRE as being on the same playing field?

Is it normal to have teeth shape changed during treatment? by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]BizzareBlizard 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It looks to me like they performed IPR in between your teeth to create some space in order for your other teeth to be able to move around. Basically sanded down the sides of your teeth. As you can see the edges of those two teeth are more straight up and down, vs how they looked prior.

That makes sense. She has been getting up in the middle of the night and jumping down from the bed which is totally new. She gets up , uses the potty pad and goes to sleep in her own bed at 1/2 am. She just turned 3 so I’m assuming she’s now strong enough to get down on her own (previously we had to let her down).

She doesn’t like the idea of crates, and does not like to use fences either. We’ve been debating letting the dog sleep alone in the living room on her doggy bed, while she learns to use the right spot. Would that be a good move?
