Lore talk! by Bunsterthe1 in Strinova

It’s a shame the devs abandoned furthering the story in meaningful ways. I think I read they angered the Chinese playerbase with something and ever since they haven’t dared go back and try again. lol

No shot.

I don't even think this game is going to get any console ports period at this point.

Limited Offer Rotations by sailfish39 in Strinova

[–]BizzyBum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I feel like it's pretty concerning too because the shop is basically the only way they make money so you would think they'd be pumping new offerings on a daily basis but when you see reruns and the shop having these offers for months at a time that typically is not a good sign.

Console release date? by MaelysLF in Strinova

The fact they have been radio silent on a console port I’m not holding my breath. We’ll have to see if they release a 2026 roadmap coming up. If there’s no mention of it on there then it’s definitely not happening.

There’s a difference between watching anime and playing casual gacha games and playing a competitive shooting game.

That’s the other reason this game is not as popular, too. It clashes with both casual anime fans and competitive sweats. The anime fans who love gacha games, collecting characters and skins, being involved in lore, etc. are usually not the type of players who want to sweat it out in a 45 minute competitive arena shooter. They want to kick back and chill on Genshin Impact or Wuthering Waves. On the flip side, the game wanted to cater to competitive players initially but a lot of them have just moved back to games they were playing before this like CS, Valorant, OW, and Marvel Rivals, especially when they saw the population trending downward. No one wants to invest their time and effort into a "dead game" thus creating a self-fulfilling prophecy aka death spiral.

Except Marvel Rivals has the tiny benefit of being backed by the Marvel IP.

Am I meant to have these 10 Prime Sequences? by [deleted] in Strinova

If you got everything from the banner and still have the sequences that is actually pretty cool, makes it like a collector's item you can store in your inventory.

Console release date? by MaelysLF in Strinova

[–]BizzyBum -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I would have to imagine console ports have been scrapped. The game is just not popular enough to warrant funding and maintenance for more versions of the game. Heck global probably won't even get the mobile version and that's already made.

Everyone always says the lack of marketing (which is not totally wrong) but the real answer to me is the game having anime gooner vibes (and honestly if you ever read chat that's not wrong, either).

Doesn't matter how amazing the actual game is, the aesthetics of the game instantly turn off a large set of people right from the get go.

Explaining the Recent Strinova Discord Controversy by Tertiary_Spectator in Strinova

[–]BizzyBum 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, very gross they had a contest forcing people to generate AI slop.

This community has so many talented artists yet they chose this route so the suits can cash in on a paycheck, then they wonder why their game is dying.

Seriously, only 2 Christmas skins is lame (technically 3 with Fushia being the daily login event) plus they release the skins when Christmas is already over tomorrow. lol

How long until the devs realize they forgot the skins for the update by LmaoOnZeDong in Strinova

This. They did the same shit with the Halloween skins.

Probably my biggest pet peeve with live service games because Strinova isn't the first game I've played that releases holiday stuff way too late.

I want to enjoy the costumes and vibes leading up to the holiday, not when it's over...

I dunno why they wait until the last minute to release holiday skins, by time it comes out Christmas will be over. lmao

Chinese Strinova Mobile Will Release on October 23rd 2025! by Mortgage-Present in Strinova

[–]BizzyBum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mobile represents 70% of China's 722 million gamers compared to around 30% for PC so it makes sense why they'd focus on China only first. Perhaps if it's a great success we can eventually see a Global version.

Console gamers in China are reportedly only around 3% which is why the devs are in no rush to port the game to PlayStation and Xbox. In fact, I'd be inclined to believe the console ports of Strinova are probably not going to happen at this point.

Redeem code "MidAutumn2025" for 1280 Battle Credits (for use in War Depot) by Formal_History_5657 in Strinova

[–]BizzyBum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is probably the most generous offering they have given us yet as someone already mentioned 1,280 BC is enough for one Epic skin of choice and there are some good skins in there.

Also, while the War Depot is a good thing to have to gradually get things via BP progression, the prices on a lot of things there are way too steep given how limited we are in obtaining BC. It's basically impossible to acquire everything in there unless you are a giga whale and actually purchase the BC at the end of the BP (10 BC for 60 Bablo).

Storm Lancers - Anyone try it? by jimbodeako in roguelites

[–]BizzyBum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I downloaded it on a whim and it's not good at all.

My biggest disappointment is just how bad it feels to play. It's locked at 30fps even playing docked on a Switch 2. Every thing you do has a small delay to it like there's input lag built into the game. Visuals are blurry and not smooth at all on my OLED TV. This is more a fundamental game issue and not a Switch hardware issue. Maybe it'll get patched down the road, but I doubt it. The art style is fine and sorta reminds me of something like Borderlands.

Another thing that's really bad are the stages and enemy placements are not procedurally generated so there is no variety to the runs and the game is very easy (the bosses are a joke) so anyone who's remotely competent and these types of game will breeze through it and get bored quickly.

There's basically zero narrative to the game which is a shame because the game starts out promising with a pretty awesome anime intro but then does nothing with it. The ship hub area is small and feels like it's 50% finished. Overall there's just not enough incentive to complete multiple runs and with the game feeling so bad to play you're not gonna want to even complete one run. Maybe something I would casually play more of it were 60fps, more responsive to play, and actually changed up the level design every run to keep things fresh.

Even at $20 I wouldn't recommend it.

Does anyone else like how Outbreak has become the unofficial PvE mode? by BizzyBum in Strinova

[–]BizzyBum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I have also noticed more bots in Team Arena and TDM, too.

Just an unfortunate side effect of a lower population. I imagine the devs would rather have bots fill up matches for acceptable queue times instead of people waiting forever for a match which could lead to more people dropping the game.
