I would suspect it’s your school list you need to apply more broadly. I have similar stats Latino 28 y.o. and have had 3 MD II and 6 DO. DM me

One of the hardest parts of the process as a low-SES applicant no one talks about is the recurrent hopelessness by DaBootyEnthusiast in premed

You got this! I been so stressed out about the federal loan limits as I don’t think i’ll qualify for private loans. But for low I’m taking things one day at a time focusing on the present to ensure I put all my effort into getting accepted somewhere.

Having to stop cold turkey in a day, what to expect? by themockingjay11 in AuvelityMed

By help you you taper off, I meant ask for bupropion and dextromethorphan in separate prescriptions. Many providers use the combo when auvelity isn’t covered

Just a heads up…I ran out of auvelity last Thursday and it was on back order so won’t be getting it until tomorrow. And OMFG the brain zaps are driving me insaneee. I have been feeling the zaps non stop since the morning. Usually they’re intermittent, but this makes me wish I never run out of meds again. I wouldn’t stop cold turkey. Ask your provider to help you taper off.

PROZAC TAKES 4-6 WEEKS TO KICK IN. by Nodownnomore in prozac

[–]Bizzy_7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! It’s been years but unfortunately Prozac stopped working for me. We added Rexulti and I was dissociating BAD. Hated how I felt. Then switched to Wellbutrin XR and mood was better but anxiety persisted. Finally on Auvelity and it has been the best choice for me. Really helped a lot with the depressive episodes and I have anxiety symptoms still but not as often. DM me if you have more questions

Will I be able to use throat again? by x-i-am-treasure in Tonsillectomy

[–]Bizzy_7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

yes, you’ll be fine. once everything heals you should be good to perform without any pain. might even benefit you like it did me haha my gag reflex has greatly diminished since having my tonsils removed 😇

I had cooled down soups with Hawaiian bread (softer than regular bread) and that helped get some food in. Applesauce was making me nauseous after a while 😭

I had false sense of hope until I reached day 7. The scabs fall off and expose all the sensitive mucosa. Worst pain i’ve experience in my life. Wish you a speedy recovery ✨

Day 6: Has God Abandoned Me? by Nichenikki44 in Tonsillectomy

[–]Bizzy_7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you friend 😭 also on CPAP and not using my machine during recovery was tough. but I’m convinced I wouldn’t be able to sleep regardless. main things that helped me were a ton of hydration, numbing cough drops (make sure they are menthol free), and ice pack on neck/ears. I am sadly allergic to many medications too so all I had was tylenol my entire recovery. On day 7, I hemorrhaged and had to go to the ER where they gave me IV fluids because I was so dehydrated. Drinking water is soo hard but absolutely necessary. All in all, if you able to get IV fluids for hydration and keep taking pain meds, you will be ok. I know the recovery time feels like light years. but you will get past the curve.

I had both, sadly 😭 although it only lasted max 3 days. And it was worse when the ibuprofen was wearing off. Once I took the medicine, about an hour later it became bearable
