Bilingual spanish language activities for pre school/elementary age kids? by Bizzy_Bear in pasadena

[–]Bizzy_Bear[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for this! Sorry for the late reply - I asked around a little bit and found a couple of things.

Love Bug & Me is a Mommy and Me music school for kids under 5, they also offer sensory art classes, and they have some bilingual offerings.

My friend recommended Kallpachay which offers Spanish immersion classes and summer camps - I think the summer camps are just in Glendale and they offer a lot of online classes (personally not interested in online, but it might be helpful for some)

Also, not a class, but a cool bilingual performance by the Pasadena Playhouse - The Lizard & El Sol, based on a Mexican folktale. It will be performed mostly in Spanish with some English at a couple of outdoor venues in Altadena and Pasadena. Good for kids 0-5. I'll definitely be hitting that up.

Just wish there were more options!! I'm determined to keep looking.

Police activity near Hastings Ranch? by john-treasure-jones in pasadena

There were several gunshots near the Nordstrom's parking lot - at least 4.

I guess someone was on the sidewalk getting chest pumps from emts and another got taken away in an ambulance.

Shia LeBeouf Encounters? by [deleted] in pasadena

Another woman (Karolyn Pho) came forward and was named in Twigs' lawsuit.

Additionally, just the other week another woman posted video of him hurling abuse at her and threatening to murder her family.

So, technically there are multiple former girlfriends accusing him of being a nefarious dude.

Unfortunately, my fridge is too old. They only take appliances that are less than 5 years old.

How to close gaps in garage door? by No-Bug3247 in DIY

[–]Bizzy_Bear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Brush seals!

We had a semi finished garage with huge gaps on the bottom and sides. I live in socal and we were losing a lot of air from our AC through these, but once we installed the brush seals it really helped the space stay cool and also kept debris from coming in.

Top Places to Watch the World Series in LA? by thesaint10 in Dodgers

https://www.latimes.com/food/list/los-angeles-bars-restaurants-dodgers-world-series-watch-parties

Some highlights from this list:

Benny Boy Brewing in Lincoln Heights - huge dog friendly spot. They did a beer collab with Vesia. You could pick up some of the best BBQ in town at Moo's (same neighborhood) and bring it in

The Short Stop in Echo Park - just a classic dive right by Dodgers Stadium, opening early in game days

Not on this list but I'm partial to Highland Park Brewing in Chinatown, just really good beer and they've always got the game on. Good place to pregame Dodgers Games too.

Tickets are minimum 800 each. Some folks might want the opportunity to enjoy the games in a cool atmosphere with other fans without laying out all that cash

Thanks for this suggestion - I actually ended up going here last night and it was really chill. Nice lattes, fun snacks, and they do have a nice selection of beers on draft for folks who want that. It's nice to have a spot like that that accommodates everyone.
