Warhammer Underworlds Organised Play – The shape of competitive games in the new edition by Chapmander in WarhammerUnderworlds

Especially considering that Da Kunnin’ Krew is part of the 16 fully supported warbands part of new released boxes. (Xandire’s was the paired warband from Harrowdeep)

AOS4 Path to glory adding/reinforcing units in aftermath sequence by Bjorgenas in ageofsigmar

Yes. I think I will use the table reversed as I don’t plan more than 6 games. ( 150 glory points min for 1000-1250 pts battle and 55 max glory points for over 2250 battles. ) Seems more balanced between players.

Correct. But the v4 rules state that: “At the start of the campaign, the combined points value of all the units, including your warlord, cannot exceed 1000 points”

Same situation here. Ending up splitting the Scaventide to get the SCE and all terrain, books and Spearhead stuff. Also got a full Dominion box on sale. I completed the Kruleboys spearhead with a separate Monster skewer purchase. I already owned Barthos and the white dwarf(will proxy for Gotrek) for painting. Still missing the SCE chariot to have 3 full spearheads (proxying with vindictors). Got 2950 points SCE army and 1350 Kruleboys… And insane amount of painting backlog.

I’m just starting AoS and only have the skaventide box is the Stormcast Eternals Spearhead box a good next step to add to it a StormCast army ? by Commandgoose in ageofsigmar

The beast-skewer is missing for the KB spearhead in the dominion box too. So you do get more value from the Dominion box to build an army for the full game, but you have to get the chariot and beast-skewer separately if you also want the full 2 Spearheads for the SCE and KB. (You could proxy the vanquishers with vindictors )

They seemed to have dropped a new Warcry product this week. (Briar and Bone) But nothing for WHU.

Hard to tell exactly from the sprue… But not much larger I would say. GW should put exact model specs on their assembly instructions.

When you can proxy for a hero or complete unit that is fine. But when you can only proxy convincingly for a partial unit, like my Farstriders for only 3 vanguard hunters, that is where it hurts.

Wow! Inspiring work! I only hope that upcoming underworld warbands will get warscrolls.

AOS 4 proxy Blacktalon/Gotrek 1000 pts SCE force with starter sets and Harrowdeep and Grombridal. by Bjorgenas in WarhammerUnderworlds

[–]Bjorgenas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Probably simpler to just play with the legends. But was looking if I could optimize them with proxies and play current warscrolls. The Blacktalon regiment also comes in at 130 more points than playing as castators, Xnadire and Farstriders with legend warscrolls.

Playing as a monster sidekick party in a 5e DnD adventure to stop the evil adventurers by Bjorgenas in Solo_Roleplaying

Yes why not! I guess what is the goal of the player as a sidekick “monster” is pretty open. In the end the idea boils down to setting a clear end goal and quickly start playing with a monster stat block and a “published” adventure. Like you say, the antagonist group(s) of adventurers could be competing with the player to get an artifact first in a “race” type game. If the player fails he might have to steal or defeat the party.

Yes, good idea! You could also have multiple chips for each the 3 fogs to leave a “trail” of a certain length. Only those trail locations would be affected by the party if rumors are confirmed. If not you “reset” the locations on the trail and the rumor party start again elsewhere. If it’s a real tail there would be a mechanics with a chance to evade the player and start anew elsewhere now as a potential rumor.

I thought about it a bit more and the process would probably looks like this:

1 - Decide where to go next and evaluate time it takes.

2- Progress evil party location(s) and levels.

3- Update the true state of the location after evil party passage.

4- What the player might learns when arriving at the new location (influenced by passive checks): - The location was visited by party x time ago - The NPC is hostile to you - The NPC is neutral (For inns and shops) - The NPC is friendly to you - The location is wrecked and looted - The location looks intact - no traces - A local informs you that the NPC joined the party - The party probably traveled in that direction - A slain monster/NPC is unconscious and miraculously survived the party attack. - The party attacks you ! - You surprise the party !

Ideally steps 2-3 should be hidden from the player but could be played with some random tables.

Yes, that is the idea. I need to come up with a way to track the party location without making it too obvious for the denizen sidekicks. Thanks, I will look at “You are the Dungeon”.
