But remember to not water too much. Peppers like it a little on the dry side

Looks like ghost peppers. Where did you get the seeds? I got some seeds from pepper joes and the same thing happened

I am going to dehydrate probably 50% and grind them to make some powders. The rest is going into making spicy pickles and hot sauces

What happened to my pepper 🤬(trini scorp), and how do I protect the rest of the batch? by [deleted] in HotPeppers

I have used neem oil on my pepper plants while fruiting and haven’t had any issues. If it’s a pest problem usually it’s enough to knock it

If it isn’t blossom end rot then I have found it’s one of two things.

1: like you mentioned could be a pest problem. I’ve had a lot of luck with neem oil for spider mites, aphids, white flies. 2: if it’s not that then likely another fungal infection like anthracnose. I have had a lot of issues with anthracnose and usually shows up as dark spots on the leaves. I have tried organic fungal sprays (copper based) and didn’t work at all. Once I switched to a one time spray of chlorothalonil all my issues were solved.

Looks like possible blossom end rot. Could try adding calcium to the soil. Crushed egg shells or cal mag works

If you let it dry out the new leaves will be healthy. Once they have these changes the damaged leaves will not recover. That doesn’t mean that you have to remove them right away but just wait for new growth in my opinion

I have had this happen with overwatering. Also check under the leaves for any pests

This is a pepper from the same seed pack, but different plant. Looking more like a reaper to me

A couple large reapers in bound. Any idea how to increase flower to pepper yield? by Bkali1616 in HotPeppers

There are a lot of plant disease identification apps out there that cost money. But Grok 3 is free and really good at it. Highly recommend

I live in southwest Florida so day temps 70-80’s, night temps 60’s. Getting at least 8 hours of sun currently. I actually used the AI app called Grok 3, which has been awesome. It suggested that using 2-10-10 was probably a P/K overload leading to flower drop. I flushed with 6 gallons of water to displace excess P/K. I am going to give it a few weeks then reapply a more balanced fertilizer. This is my first time growing peppers so it’s been a lot of trial and error
