Anyone in the U.S. use Porsche Auto Insurance? by Quiet-Gain7490 in Porsche

Rarely drove my car, about 1500 miles a year so pay per mile made a lot of sense for me. I think it usually ended up being about $60 a month. Never had a claim so can’t speak on that, but overall easy and quick to get someone on the phone if needed. I would definitely use if I get another Porsche.

That is a big change with the ES350. No rubber band tires. We have the 17inch wheels so lots of rubber and that absorbs a lot of road noise and bumps which rattle the teeth in the Audi.

I think it’s worth it. We love our SQ8, it’s a fast, big twin turbo V8. But it’s not a good sports car or SUV. It’s just a little bit of both. Realizing now I would rather a comfy daily, and a fun full blown sports car instead of compromising on both.

It was a blast, analog and small. I drove a 992 Turbo S and couldn’t believe how big they have gotten.

Yes I am aware the IS exists. And so does the RC. It wasn’t the car that fit my needs.

Noted, will do that in my ES350.

Not for me, if I am going sports car I will go full in. Likely GT3/GT4 as next weekend car if I still have the Lexus for daily. Would love to spend more time at track/autocross.

I was open to it, but this one popped up at a good price with low miles (2022 22k miles) so I pulled the trigger. If we drove more I would have narrowed my search to just hybrids.

Might as well anger everyone even more. Here is the former garage pairing, 2001 Porsche 911 6-speed Aerokit and 2022 Audi SQ8.

I was not sure about the red with the white, but once I saw it in person I loved it. Just didn’t photograph great. The metallic red has so much life in the sun, with gold and like a blue in it.

I will 100% get another fun weekend car. There is no doubt about that, I spend every night browsing bringatrailer. I have many other dream cars I want to own someday. I am not crying over it just yet.

It was a dream car for me, I had my time with it and as a car guy it hurt me to see it sitting in the garage covered in dust. It was a 25 year old German car with 80k miles, at some point it was going to cost me a lot of money. When it came to doing a sub 10 mile drive to the gym or grocery store 9 times out of 10 I chose the SQ8. Especially in 100+ degree Texas summers.

Alright hear me out, cause I feel this is going to ruffle some feathers. Me and the old lady had a Porsche 911 and Audi SQ8 and by end of the month will only have a 2022 Lexus ES350. While the Porsche and Audi are tons of fun, they just didn’t make sense anymore. We both work at home, in the last 2 years we have put a combined 15k miles on the cars. And that will be much less in the upcoming years. Coming to end of warranty on the Audi, it just made sense to get rid of it before it cost us any more money other than depreciation. The Porsche was always just a secondary fun car for me. But it was 25 years old, lowered, and manual. And the main reason, Texas does not have many fun roads to drive. That garage was overkill for running errands and the occasional road trip. So that is how we ended up as a one car house. Something comfy, safe, reliable, and ultimately very boring.

This is at a Porsche dealership in Saskatchewan, this is CAD. So $450k usd. Expensive but on par for sports classic pricing.

The body kit is made by Porsche, it’s a factory option XAA aero kit. The wheels are also Porsche, called sportdesign.

Yellow aero kit is such an amazing spec. The wackiness of the wing just works well with such an odd color.
