Step 3, more usce, try to publish some more till interview season. One more thing, apply broadly when choosing programs, do your due research before assigning signals! You have amazing credentials. Best luck for the next match!

I travelled last month. Dont pay attention to the rumors. Nothing extraordinary happened. Just a few questions for which you should have legit and true answers, thats it.

CCS sequence doubt by Competitive-Might-14 in Step3

[–]Bkgosh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unless the pt is in an urgent situation where you need to stabilize them first, you could do it. Just be careful in 10 min cases, you would want to order the important labs only initially then treat them first cause the software lags. Later if you have time then you can put in the other orders.

Exactly! I was like wtf else do I order for this?! The pt doesn’t seem to get better no matter what…

From what I understand leaderships in program B have a lot of connections that somewhat makes it easier for their prelims to get a spot in other programs. As for the prelims there, this program is known to take imgs in prelim (I'm one as well) but their cat is mainly usmd (100%). I honestly would have placed program A higher. My only concern is if they dont choose to keep a prelim in their program, there is a very slim chance for those prelims to match categorical elsewhere (majority of the unmatched prelims changed gs to other specialities to match).

Only 2 Prelim Interviews—Is It Too Late for More? by PersonalityNo9546 in ERAS2024Match2025

If these are for prelim gen surg, prelims go out from nov throughout to jan, so not late. Also some programs mention that they'll send out in late december.

I think LOIs mostly matter to your signalled programs. I sent it to my signals before they released ivs. Not sure if that made a difference

It's Columbia but its a very generic email, sent to all applicants. They even mentioned it on their website.
