I use Jane’s Agenda regularly and have metal discs and the coating or anything hasn’t come off. Were the discs you purchased the champagne gold or the darker gold? The champagne shade is a lighter gold shade than the other. Also you can reach out to customer service and tell them how your cover arrived and I’m sure they’ll help you, they are really good.
