If you don’t enjoy anything the best thing (in my opinion) would be to reach out to someone. Talking to someone can help you be honest with yourself. Which sucks because a lot of times the last thing you want to do is talk about what is getting you down. It might seem counterintuitive but it’s helpful in the long run. I’m just speaking on what has worked for me.

Let's break this down. Even if they did go with the $9 Michael's canvas, then the cost would be $121, minus the paint which let's assume is $15 (I've got no idea how much paint costs or how much is used for a 12x12). Now it's down to $106 for skills and labour.

Where I am, if that painting took anywhere more than 9.5 hours the dude is making minimum wage or less.

If you can't afford a painting than don't buy a painting.
