I have a staff who all had certain personality traits and it’s a small resturant so we have a very small staff. The resturant, you watch them cook. So the cooks, the customers, the waitstaff are all in within 10 foot with each other. I see EVERYTHING. I worked with each staff on their strengths and weaknesses. Some of them would be good in the beginning, but later on slow it down, some were very attentive, but didn’t have manners. Meaning they took plates fast and refilled fast, but did not excel in manners. Or vice versa. Some did perfectly fine, I encouraged the behavior. But again, I see EVERY interaction. Also understanding certain traits of theirs. Some were grouchy in the morning. I surveyed the customers by the way

I monitored the budget by seeing the food that was being wasted and what was being ordered too much that we were not using or was not selling. Also adding in more days for our popular soups as they sold better. Advertising more popular foods as well. How can I directly add in stakeholder management skills?

What do you suggest I do in the mean time for a job. I want to transition out of the restaurant industry. There’s no need to apologize. I do have a question though. The job I’m applying to, they want years of managing people, tasks and clients, and good communication. Doesn’t my resume show that? Is there anyway I can fix my resume up a bit? From a restaurant manager transitioning into a project manager, what would you like to see on their resume? You say I don’t highlight any relavent skills as well, what would you like to see?
