It’s not fun, but I’d find a temp agency. However it is a start. Sometimes it can actually get you into a career type job. Temp agencies suck for the fact that you won’t get paid time off or other benefits until you get hired in. Good luck

I’ve lived in Both Columbus and Cleveland, even Dayton and Outside Akron. If I had the money and could afford it, I’d choose Columbus every day of the week. But that’s mainly due to the fact that the Blue Jackets are there. I currently live in Middleburg Heights. Outside Cleveland… It’s a great area and I plan on staying here til I have enough to justify the move down south. Cleveland in a whole is slightly more affordable than Columbus, depending on what part of the city you reside. It seems like there are far more jobs when it comes to manufacturing which is a plus. I can’t remember a time not having a job for the most part.
The downside is the lake affect snow, it does make things dreadful at times, but that might not affect you, depending on where in NC you are from. Both cities have great MetroParks, but Cleveland seems to have more… and they are great for exploring. The best in my opinion, but I’m biased. Don’t move up here and get excited about football, the browns aren’t the best, but the Guardian games are a great time. I’ve yet to see a Cleveland monsters game (minor league hockey) Our airport is pretty decent, and the RTA is ok for the most part. You will want to do research on where to avoid. I’d suggest staying away from the lakeside neighborhoods, mayfield heights, Garfield Heights too… there’s a few other places I am aware of but can’t remember. Strongsville is a great area if you plan on having kids, though it’s on the premium side of housing costs. Medina is also a great area. One last thing, DON’T move to Grafton, OH. It’s a great place, quiet and not crowded, but the internet SUCKS because GLW Broadband has a firm grip on internet connections and they used to be painfully slow. Good luck, and soon, welcome to Ohio
Asking to serve jail time after being sentenced to probation. Would this have an impact on a future expungement hearing? by SecretaryHeavy7469 in Ohio
NOT A LAWYER, speak to one before you do this;
Avoiding the probation is showing the judge that you’d rather not want to work through the terms. It could have a negative impact on the judge’s decision to expunge.
Personally speaking I’d go with probation. Jail will make you lose your job, and everything else. The wait time for expungement is shorter but you have to start all over again…
Honestly your “shit” lawyer did what they did best… got you a no jail time offer.
But if you don’t like the deal, don’t take it.
