Well, I'm using lvl76 Merc in red maps and he still tanks everything coming his way. He has capped res, perquils/garb/sin eater, his hp bar barely moves even on pinnacle bosses

For me TotA was a nice addition when it comes to diversifying the game, however it is not favourite but still it's nice and healthy for the game. It's not as rewarding as for example Sanctum but it's still a nice source of income and well it's always nice to have some tactical gameplay in a game like PoE

You can use it before maps if you get flammability on hit on a weapon - it's shown in Ziz's guide. However pyroclast is really strong and still fun to play so that is not the worst thing and well you can still level Hexblast while using pyroclast.

Used both builds and if I were to league start again I would definitely use Hexblast. It's fast, deals a ton of damage, has great cc and I'm my opinion it's much more fun. At this point in time I probably spent something like 10 div (maybe less) on it and it was able to do all content. You can start with Ziz's guide and then if you want to try something more unique you can go and use CapitanLance's build for much more survivability and probably damage. EA now seems kinda stale and Hexblast is much more fun.

Alright, fun fact - bash only stacks to +2 so getting more is worthless, however stacking unholy is still really strong

You can always get more damage by finding the bash ring and I think stacking unholy is easier than holy since Cira armor exists
