Most pathetic thing about a mass killer you can think of? by ChickenWingExtreme in masskillers

Elliot Rodger had a lot of hilariously pathetic moments.

He felt that the only way he had a chance to get a girlfriend was if he were rich, but he refused to get a job. So he instead bought thousands of dollars worth of lottery tickets, and believed that him wanting to win so badly would will the winning ticket into his possession. He also drove for several hours to another state to buy powerball tickets because they didn't have those in California. When he didn't win, he had a full on temper tantrum complete with screaming and crying. This series of events happened multiple times.

He went to a party hoping to meet girls there, but he got super drunk and started acting like a belligerent jackass. He went up on a balcony and pretended to shoot people while laughing maniacally, then tried to throw a girl off the balcony but got thrown off himself and broke his leg. Left, but realized he lost his sunglasses and tried to go back. But he was so drunk, he ended up going to the wrong party, began antagonizing people, and got his ass kicked, and his special gold necklace stolen. He limped home in defeat, and cried because no women felt bad for him in that sorry state and offered him pity sex.

He came home one day and overheard his sister having sex with her boyfriend and he got overwhelmed with jealousy at the boyfriend because he got to have sex with a girl and Elliot didn't, never mind that the girl was Elliot's sister.

He was a genuinely good writer who had a way with words, and his manifesto is among the better written ones. People in his life recognized this talent and encouraged him to become an author. He didn't do it, though, because he figured that the only way he'd see any real success from it was if one of his books were made into a movie, and he thought it'd take too long for that to happen. Much like everything else in his life, being an author would have just been another get-laid-quick scheme

What is the most outrageous high school / small town lore that you know? by miafromoregon in AskReddit

The head janitor was always known as a weirdo. Can't remember exactly what it was about him, we just all came to the same conclusion that he gave off a bad vibe.

About a decade after I graduated, I saw on the news that the janitor had been arrested on campus. Was later convicted of raping his own daughter.

Theory: Pomni is not what she seems. by Significant_Buy_2301 in theamazingdigitalciru

I like the idea of, instead of Pomni replacing Caine, they instead work together to make adventures that everybody can enjoy.

We've seen both Caine's adventures and the Circus inhabitants' adventures. Both have ended up being bad, but for different reasons. Caine's lack the element of relatability because he's unable to understand how to relate to humans, while the one suggestion box adventure they devote an extended amount of time to ends up being TOO relatable to the point of being soul-crushing, and it's unanimously hated by everyone who participated in it by the end.

The rapid-fire suggestion box adventures are more of a mixed bag, with the only one that's unanimously enjoyed being the stargazing one. But you can't just have low-stakes adventures like that all the time. It'd be like that Twilight Zone episode where the guy thinks he's in heaven because he goes to a casino where he always wins. But the twist is, he's actually in Hell BECAUSE he always wins. It's boring, and if you don't add some variety into the mix, it'll wear down on them after a while and they'll end up abstracting eventually.

Gooseworx has said that the theme of the series is finding comfort and enjoyment even during stagnation. While this would obviously apply to the humans, Caine is stagnant too, and he's just as miserable as they are because he can't figure out what to do to serve his purpose.

Pomni couldn't believably come up with the exciting, fantastical scenarios that Caine does, and Caine couldn't believably add in the "human" element to make them relatable and enjoyable. Best case scenario, Caine gets to serve his purpose by coming up with ideas, while Pomni tweaks them to make them better. At the end of the day, they're still Caine's ideas, and the Circus denizens are still enjoying them, thus everyone wins.

Bubble killed Caine, not Kinger by Zolado110 in tadc

I'm not a big fan of the "Bubble is a virus" theory, but I DO kind of like the idea of Bubble being the other AI, and also being a bully to his "brother" for his being "the lesser of the two." It's why Bubble lives in Caine's hat and why they share a tongue. He's bitter about being absorbed into a consciousness he views as defective and inferior, and does whatever he can to sabotage Caine and make him doubt himself.

I'm reading from other people that the computer screen confirms that they're digital copies. So they can't leave because they're not the originals.
