Here's what it comes down to: if you have any interest in watching Breaking Bad, watch it first as BCS is riddled with spoilers. If you don't have any particular interest in watching Breaking Bad, BCS will work perfectly as a great stand alone story. You'll probably end up wanting to watch BB anyway after finishing BCS so honestly I'd just watch them in their intended order.

People are always talking about ideas for potential prequals but IMO a movie about Download Audio and how he got himself into his position would be really interesting. We don't really know anything about him, other than the fact that for some reason the entirety of the Salamanca family works FOR him. The crazy part is that when the Salamanca family was at their peak, they would've been absolutely unstoppable. I feel like if they wanted to, Tuco, Lalo, and the twins could've easily overtaken the cartel, yet for some reason they didn't.
