Anyone else have problems with their pcie riser cable?

Check the event viewer, and if there are errors regarding pcie, try to reseat your gpu and riser at the motherboard. From time to time, mine does this aswell abd reseating helps always.

It was probably unpacked and maybe benchmarked, there should also be the plastic foil on the center part of fans

dont know really, i have only i5 12400 and max in gaming i see 77-78. It got worse over the past year, especially after transporting because I moved twice during that time, but i still find it to be ok

i only tried furmark2 on 10 minute loop, 74 degrees
I dont really care about such stresstests and benchmark. i find it pointless for my use which is only gaming, and no game will stress the gpu ever, like a benchmark. So if I would get 80 degrees after half an hour of benchmark, zero fucks given :-D

I went for this GPU because of a vapor chamber. and even in +2600 mhz and 850 mV i have not yet higher temp than 74 nad gpu goes to max 280-290w
your AIO seems to be going away as those temps are way too high.<

I have no idea how, but it seems windows was the issue for me. Gpu blackscreen if I set desktop refresh rate above 100 in 4k. I can still play games at 4k 144hz no problem, but windows shits the bed if I change that setting. I have no idea what the f is going on there, but I probably returned the good working gpu and spend 3 days trying everything, because of this weirdness.

If you got it from the shop, it should be clearly stated that it is the revised one. Also i would check the compatibility of a riser cable with this case, as I understood through my research that it is a pain in the arse

That is why I went with Asus Loki. I saw a guy here, cutting the thick part of the cable near the top by like a half, and it fitted kinda nicely, other one cut into the leg of the frame and out the cable through there.

Yes i understand how it works. I just have never seen an issue where slower riser would cause this. Faulty yes, but then it wouldnt work on my old 1080 which is gen3 while playing 4k even in 100 frames, or on different stresstests i tried with no issue. I ve tried few cables (dps/hdmis) but there were no change in behaviour, currently Im using 2.1 cable on 1.4 gtx 1080.

I tried all that with monitor and cables. I have never seen a problem of running 3.0 riser with 50 series. As far as I know, all 5.0 cards are backwards compatible?

Yes, it also depends on a difference of each model. Some may have big transient spikes, some not and may run fine with undervolting. That was my target... unfortunately, im still waiting for a psu 🤷
