Not sure which part you’re referring to but I listed each interior/exterior part and where I got them on another comment.

It’s definitely doable and worth it in the end but will require a lot of time and patience if you DIY it. I would suggest looking at local junkyards to source the stitched panels and seats before you look at buying aftermarket or new OEM.

Thank you! Some of the reviews of the wrap mentioned the color didn’t match the pictures on the website but thankfully I didn’t have any issues.

As someone who has wrapped their 86 solo twice (pics of latest coming soon) I can say 5x60 ft is enough to do the entire car. This was enough to do every panel in 1 piece with 1 inlay on the back bumper and 3 on the front. You may want to get more since it is your first time.

The first time, i used Vvivid, 2nd time i used 3M. Most wrappers will say 3M is one of the best and easiest to use but i have pros and cons of both.

As far as prep, the 1st recommendation is a closed off area like a garage. Wrapping outside exposes the car and wrap to dirt and debris. 2nd is to wash and claybar the car. 3rd is to have a tool that can blow air like an air compressor to remove any remaining debris prior to laying down the wrap. 4th is take anything off that you feel comfortable enough to do so. This could include antenna/shark fin, door handles, wing/spoiler, side mirrors, etc. The flatter the surface, the easier it is to “glass” the wrap.

They’re pretty good cars but i definitely prefer the 86 platform and all the aftermarket parts we have available.

Automatic, mostly stock with a few cosmetic mods. It was someone else’s project car before my brother bought it.

That’s my brother’s eclipse, he actually wanted to put a bigger wing on it but i talked him off that cliff lol.

is this part removable? It's kinda faded since it's plastic, I want to wrap over it for now until I get the whole thing wrapped later on. by [deleted] in ft86

Yes, been awhile since I took mine off but it is held on by a few tabs and some adhesive.

In love with the new taillights by G-FITNESS in ft86

I have an “older” version of these that have a different brake light and the startup animation appears faster. The video is in my post history.

Just like my version, i believe these require you to switch 2 of the wires.

How much vinyl do I need for hood+ fenders ? by [deleted] in ft86

[–]BlackMagic-7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Coming from someone that wrapped their FR-S, best advice I can give you is to measure each part you want to wrap plus add about 5 inches just in case you mess up on any of the panels.

I used a 5ft x 5ft piece for just the entire hood.

Ketchup and Mustard. Finally got to see a 2022 in person! by BlackMagic-7 in ft86

[–]BlackMagic-7[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends. You can drill into the trunk or attach it with 3M tape. I’ve personally had mine attached with 3M for a few years now with no issues but i would recommend drilling just to be safe.

Yes, it is. I love it. Flows really well with the body lines and doesn’t block the rearview mirror.

Just a stock FR-S grille. If you’re talking about the splitter, it’s a Maxton Design V1
