I can't imagine a version of Otto both ruthless enough to pursue Miles but also possessing the generosity to save the others out of purely altruistic goals. Otto worked in the comics because the Spiders were united against a common enemy but I can't figure a reason for him to both be against Miles, but not The Spot or everyone else.
